Movie Review : Fist Fight

Fist Fight
This movie is a comedic mess! This film is what it says it is it makes you want to fist fight yourself for paying to see this film. Charlie day is ok and Ice Cube is himself in this film. The film is so bad I would call it the Batman V Superman of comedies and not in a good way

When a teacher snitches the other teacher who's a loose cannon challenges him to a fight teacher to teacher

Rated R : for language throughout, sexual content/nudity and drug material

Ice Cube : First off I want to say I respect Ice Cube as a actor and a person I think he's really talented. But I have to be honest he fell flat in this film by just playing the over angry character with no character like ability or depth whatsoever. He also is playing what he dose in every film the angry dude that lashes out he dose that in 21 jump street, ride along , Are we There yet? Just to name a few he plays the tough guy I'm not saying it isn't good but he's doing it so much now that it's getting stale and just doesn't have the same entertainment factor when he first did it. Ice Cube your a fantastic artist but you can do better then this I've seen it but this performance was just flat and shallow.

Charlie Day : Charlie Day plays himself too he's played in films such as the horrible boss series, and vacation to name some. He plays the same silly guy with the high pitch voice and it just gets annoying and in the end doesn't work. He had his moments in the film where I was entertained sure but he tried being the tough guy towards the end and it doesn't work. Due to him always being the comic relief I can't seem him in any other kind of role. Hopefully he can branch out and do something new and different because the high pitch act is getting old and honestly just not entertaining anymore a flat performance that lacks entertainment at every angle

Jillian Bell :  Jillian Bell was by far the worst part of the film. She was the best part of 22 jump street and here is the worst part of this film what happened I'll tell you. She started doing comedic raunchy roles since 22 jump street and has played that shtick ever since and it's so tiring because it's always the same. She always swears and makes sexual jokes and it just isn't funny anymore she's run the jokes dry and in the film when you use humour theirs a difference between funny and just inappropriate and offensive which is what she did and I did not find it funny in the slightest. She plays the teacher who hits on teenage boys it's creepy and she makes it seem funny when it just isn't she gives one of the most annoying and all around one of the worst supporting  performances I've seen all year by far

Richie Keen : Richie Keen gives a terrible directing debut. This was his first film as a director dam what a bad impression he's shown me for his ability to direct a film. He constantly had to have potty humour and just crass humour every two seconds it got annoying and frankly tiring. He had major pacing issues the plot going really slow and not going anywhere it just was a mess plot wise and was directed poorly on his part. I'll see what he dose for future projects but so far he's not given me a good impression he can direct comedy well with what he did with this film.

The Lighting : it had this bright blue feel that all comedies have nothing special.

The Soundtrack: It had some good tracks for this lacklustre film besides that the music was ok.
