Movie Review : Logan

Logan
This film is by far the greatest marvel movie ever made! Yea you heard me right the best marvel film ever made and I'll explain why. The film is a heart wrenching piece of film that dose not rely on the action to carry the film but also stands as a solid emotional core story with action around it. As well the performances given by Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. The two have never been better onscreen then they are in this film their are both on top of their game with their fantastic work in this film. This piece of film is an emotional final film for wolverine and this film couldn't of been a better send off this film is a masterpiece definitely one of the years best if not the years best.

Logan aka Wolverine is a battered older man who isn't healing as fast and is taking care of a ill Professor X they believe they are the last mutants until they discover someone who has the abilities of Wolverine and are set to protect her at all costs.

Rated R : Strong brutal violence and language throughout and for brief nudity

Hugh Jackman : Jackman delivers his best performance as Wolverine onscreen and he truly gives his all to his last outing as Wolverine and is magnificent in this film. Hugh first played Wolverine seventeen years ago in the first X-Men and he is the perfect Wolverine and he knows this character inside and out so he has the best understanding of his character and shows so much layers of Wolverine we haven't seen before and it's incredible to watch. We have seen Logan broken before but the way he is in this film hits another level he truly is a shattered and battered man and the way Jackman was able to deliver such a broken, emotional and heartbreaking performance brought tears to my eyes he is truly outstanding in this film. He also went to such dark places with the character and as an actor we have not seen before and wow what range he has I've seen Jackman in stuff like prisoners where he's gone dark but this was totally different he is Wolverine and got under the skin of find great character and when you see the pain in his eyes and the aching hurt in his soul told through his voice it feels so real and genuine. Jackman not only delivers the best performance he's given as Wolverine but the best performance of his career with his work in this film.as well what Hugh brings to this film isn't just fine acting but one of the best performances i have ever seen from a actor onscreen ever. He gives a Oscar worthy caliber performance  He's truly phenomenal in this film he captures the screen with his electrifying onscreen performance and captivates the audience one last time as Wolverine with this amazing scene stealing performance.

Patrick Stewart: Patrick gives the finest performance of his career with his astonishing last outing as professor Xavier. Stewart like Jackman has played this character since the beginning and Stewart delivers a brilliant supporting performance in this film that is truly remarkable. In this film Professor X is a broken shattered man who is not what he was he's old, beaten down and frail. The pure emotion Stewart brought to his performance in this film brought me to tears he delivers a heart wrenching performance that will move you. When he speaks his lines it feels as if it's coming from such a real place theirs no false note in his performance. The range he has is incredible in the film he can give funny witty lines to bringing the audience to tears with his serious emotion as well. The look in his eyes and the tone in his voice it's all Their he's giving his all and stealing each scene he's in with his outstanding performance in this film. I would even say he deserves Oscar recognition for his work in this that's how great he is in this picture. He shines in every scene he's in giving us the best we've seen of Patrick portrayal Professor X onscreen. Patrick Stewart delivers the best performance of his career and one of the best supporting performances I've ever seen from a actor onscreen ever.

Dafne Keen : Dafne delivers a powerful performance that dazzles the screen! This actress I have not heard of and this is her first film and I have to say I am incredibly impressed by this young actress and what she brings to screen in this film. For a first film and for such a young age she delivers a impressively mature performance full of fantastic emotion. Keen for most of the film dose not speak and her performance is given through her emotion and body language. For any actor that is a difficult task to take on and she dose it so well making it look effortless. When she dose speak you can see the emotion in her voice and her eyes for such a young actress to be delivering such a layered performance is incredible. She can be the most intimating person in the frame and the next she can break down to tears and break your heart her performance was just so electric this young actress captivates you with her fantastic acting and amazing performance.  I cannot wait to see what she dose for future projects to come her performance in this was truly amazing and shouldn't go unnoticed.

James Mangold : James showcases his talent as a director with his beautiful direction of this film. He directed walk the line and that is greatly crafted film and he knocks it out of the park again with his incredible direction. He doesn't take the easy route and just use CGI and explosions and big set pieces. He made the film feel very small scoped and it worked so well. He shows the audience that the film can stand on its own as a emotional driven film instead of constant action and it impressed me very much. He uses small environments and sprinkles it with action but not to much and let's the scene breath with great emotional scenes. He shows the audience a Wolverine or a marvel film in general that really has never been done before it's so different then what we're used to seeing and it's such a breath of fresh air it's so captivating of what he captures onscreen it's incredible along with fantastic performances from his cast. James Helms this film greatly he brought such great vision to a fantastic sendoff for Wolverine great direction.

The Lighting : The tones of colours used in this film was fantastic. The use of the colour orange and yellow mixed together created this gritty standish colour pallet that made the film feel like a western. It just made the frame really stand out and have the right textures for the right scenes it just worked so well I loved it.

The Cinematography : The Camerawork in this film was splendid. The shots used in the action sequences was truly fantastic in the film. The way the camera moved as well in landscape shots was gorgeous   But like I said the action was well captured through the lens. Showing the intensity happening onscreen and really putting you on the edge of your seat. As well theirs a specific scene with Professor X and it's a shaky Camera moment and I won't give anything away but the way they shot that sequence was truly astonishing. Overall fantastic camerawork in this film.

The Score : The music constructed in this film was very well composed. The music was intense at times and would be very constant and fast paced. But also it would be very calming and a slow melody and I liked that it's use of sounds in the film worked really well I liked it overall a great Score.
