Movie Review : La La Land

La La Land
This film is the most magical experience I've had in theatres since my first time going to the cinema! This film is spectacular from start to finish Damien has once again knocked it out of the park with his fantastic direction and vision for this film. As well as the music in the film is so beautiful the score and the musical bits in the film to. Then the performances in the film by Emma Stone and Ryan is incredible this film is the best film of the year and is destined to become a classic.

This film tells the story of two dreamers one an aspiring actor wanting to make it big in show business and a pianist who's vision is to bring back the great sounds of jazz and the beautiful lights that is the place of love and dreams

Rated PG - 13 : some language

Ryan Gosling : Ryan dazzles the screen once again with his charming charisma and terrific acting. Ryan has had a fantastic year earlier with his work in the hilarious crime detective film the nice guys and proved to us he can be truly funny. Now he's proven once again he can balance the act of being charming funny and serious all at once with his fantastic talent in this film. Ryan is funny in this film and the way he delivers it is so dry and charming it fits his character so well. At the same time he's not all side splitting comedy in this film he also provides great depths of serious emotion which is amazing to watch onscreen. He can be so funny one second and so charming then be so real and emotional he played it so well. Not only is his acting in the film fantastic but the chemistry he has with Emma Stone onscreen is pure magic they are electric onscreen together I bought them as a couple and they work so well together. Ryan once proves again he can capture the audience with his extraordinary talent.

Emma Stone : Emma delivers one of the finest performances of her career and one of the best lead performances of the year! Emma Stone astonished us with her terrific dramatic turn in the Oscar winning film Birdman which earned her an Oscar nomination. Once again she blows us away with her incredible acting in this film she is electric in this film. She brings her signature comedy to the screen which she makes look effortless. Then she switches it with her more serious acting skills that is brilliant she is extraordinary in this film. I've seen her in The help, Easy A, Birdman and I love all her performances in those films but her work in this film was different then what I've seen her give in the past she performs on another medium I haven't seen her explore and its amazing to watch. She just shows so much layers of her character onscreen she shows so much emotion she is so real onscreen you believe every word she says. Emma is hilarious in this film but also outstanding by showing her dramatic side to I love her performance in this film and should not go unnoticed.

Damien Chazelle : Damien shows that he is a force to be reckoned with and is masterful behind the camera! Damien blew me away with his film and extraordinary direction with his Whiplash and I think he has outdone himself with his visionary talent with this film. Damien brought great performances from the cast and to add to the great acting also contributed fantastic music from the score and singing. As well as the style that anything is possible and to chase your dreams I loved the message he brought to that. It felt like a old fashioned musical film from the way he made it look and it's so beautiful to look at. He once again directs this film to perfection I think this is his best directed film yet and can't wait to see what Damien will do next his direction in this film is the best I've seen all year!

The Lighting : The colours were gorgeous in this film truly beautiful! Their are so many parts in this film that brought such perfect mixture of colours and it just fit so well. Theirs a scene where Ryan and Emma dance at night in the street and the way the colours brought the tones of pink and blue together went so well it was outstanding. Frame to frame of perfect lighting it fit the story the feel of the film perfectly. Best lighting I've seen in a long time and the years best it is brilliant absolutely brilliant.

The Cinematography : The camerawork in this film is astonishing! Their are many shots that were captured in the frame of the camera perfectly. I can go on and on about the extraordinary work that went on from the camera. But their is once scene in particular that stood out among the rest. Which was a scene of Ryan and Emma at an observatory and they go flying in the air and the way they filmed it was amazing. They were so expressive through the lens of the camera loved the camerawork in this film best I've seen all year!

The Score : the music in this film is the best music I've heard all year! The way they used the instruments to capture the sheer emotion and feel of the picture was perfect. As well as the musical bits in the film it all fit so well the melody is so well composed. As well as the singing parts in it loved the music truly genius work of music used in this film.
