This film is absolutely brilliant . This film is a great music,comedy, bio film. The strong performance by John C Reilly is such a entertaining and very well done performance . The directing was Magnificat . This film is such a triumph . One of the best films of the year .

Dewey Cox overcomes a horrible incident in his life and is introduced to the life of music and the walk hard journey that he goes through .

Rated R :  for sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use and language

John C. Reilly:  This performance that Riley gave was such a amazing performance . The way how he created this character and really became consumed in this role was great . He definitely got snubbed at the Oscars for this role. I loved John in this role it was amazing . His emotion in the film is he's funny and serious at the same time how he was able to balance those emotions at the same time was great. Loved the performance.

Jenna Fischer : She gave such a great performance as the love interest of the film. With her divine beauty and great acting she made this character alive and so believable . She had great chemistry with John when they were onscreen together . She got snubbed at the a Oscars for best actress. I loved this performance.

Jake Kasdan : His direction in this film was brilliant . I watched some of his other stuff such as 2011's Bad Teacher. So when I watched this film I knew it was going to have some great humor like his other films. But the way he made the film feel like a period piece with all the great costumes makeup and hairstyling was great. He also balanced perfectly the drama and comedy. When their was a serious scene he would sometimes put some comedic dialogue to brighten up the scene. But also sometimes he wouldn't use it and just let the scene run on straight dramatic dialogue which I thought he did brilliantly .

The Lighting : It felt like a period piece with the great lighting choice they put in the film which made the film shine and really glow which I loved .

The Cinematography : It was alright nothing that special but good job guys.

The Soundtrack : The music they had in this film was brilliant . The song selection like Walk Hard and A Beautiful Ride and so many others will have you dancing and singing along to this film. Definitely worth downloading on iTunes.
