Movie Review : The Call

The Call
This film is one of the best psychological suspense thrillers I have seen since Silence of the lambs! The way the director built the suspense and kept you interested was great . I highly recommend this film.

When a 911 dispatcher goss through a traumatic experience to save a young girl but didn't have enough time and then blames herself for her death she then questions herself and is haunted by the memory . So when she comes in contact with another girl who is abducted by the same man she goes to incredible lengths from making the same mistake .

Rated 14A : disturbing images violence and some language

Halle Berry :  She gave another great performance as the every day hero. She plays a 911 dispatcher and she makes it very conniving. The emotion she drives in her character is great the fear she shows is amazing . Halle&Abigail were great onscreen together . Theirs a reason she's won a Oscar because she a great actress and this film shows it . Another great performance by Halle.

Abigail Breslin : She delivered once again another great performance ! This Oscar nominated actress had great chemistry alongside Halle in the film it just felt so real and made the suspense more believable . The incredible emotion she had was magnificent . Her character is kidnapped and is supposed to have fear in her heart of what's going to happen next but at the same time entertain the audience . That's what she did she was scared but also used her intelligence to get the cops closer to the kidnapper which I thought was great. She have another great performance she is defiantly going to win a Oscar eventually from her incredible acting abilities which you can clearly see in this picture . Great job!

Brad Anderson : He gave such great direction to keep the suspense and story in balance . The way he made the film feel like Alfred Hitchcocks North By Northwest classic was great. He had great performances by the cast and got you interested in this intriguing story it makes you scared jump at times which I love. He gets you so involved in the picture that you can't turn away . Great job!

The Lighting : it was your average blockbuster suspense thriller nothing special . But great job guys!

The Cinematography : Some of the shots were worth mentioning when Abigail was in the trunk it made you feel like you were in their with her like you were experiencing it with her which I loved.

The Score : It was low key for most of it but it was a great suspenseful score piece it fit the film perfectly I loved it!
