Movie review: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

I think this film was the best out of the franchise.  It had great action sequences and great chemistry between Sean Connery and Harrison Ford.

Rating:  PG-13 for violence, sexual content and language.

Indiana Jones is back.  But when his father goes suddenly missing, he must go after him to find him while pursuing the grail.  He must follow in his father's footsteps to uncover the grail.

Harrison Ford, as always, another great performance as the adventurous archaeologist.  One of his best performances of his career because Harrison Ford knows his character inside and out, which makes it for a better performance.  Harrison Ford always brings something new to Indiana every time which is great.

Sean Connery was great at playing the father figure; the one with all the authority.  It made you think he was Harrison Ford's father.  Another great performance by Sean Connery.  Great job Bond!

The movie was so unpredictable you didn't know where they were going next or what they were going to do next. It had a better action sequence, one after another, always making the next one better.  I loved it.  The directing was magnificent by Steven Spielberg, as always.  He knows how to get the audience's attention.  All of his films are amazing.  His directing on this was great.

The cinematography was brilliant on the tank sequence and when they were riding off into the sunset was magnificent.  It felt like you were right in the action with them the whole time.  Oh and the breathtaking lighting by Douglas Slocombe - it was great.  It had this Hollywood feel to the picture
- it wasn't to dark it wasn't to bright it was the right tone and the mood for the story loved it loved it!!

The score was conducted by the legendary John Williams who has done other great pieces for Steven Spielberg in the past, including Jaws, 1975.  The score was fantastic it had a certain sound to it that fitted the picture perfectly when it was upbeat and fast.  You knew they were on the run going to the next action sequence but when it was low key it felt more like an emotional scene.  Great job Williams!!
