Movie Review : Isle Of Dogs

Isle Of Dogs
This movie is A quirky film with Wes Anderson at the height of his powers! Wes Anderson has shown us how he’s a dominate force to be reckoned with creating a style and really his own genre that no other films are like of his kind. He’s a unique filmmaker that captures the audiences attention with great storytelling and intriguing narrative at the hand and this film shows that greatly.

This film first off has a great cast and whoever was in charge of finding the cast for this film needs a raise because the ensemble cast for this film is truly incredible. From Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton and Scarlett Johnson the list goes on its a star studded cast with each cast member giving great moments throughout the film. The film also is a touching movie on the other hand it's about a boy trying to find his dog and the overall message is quite touching to watch and is an incredibly enjoyable film with Cranston giving a truly entertaining performance as one of the main characters in this film.

Overall Isle Of Dogs is a Wes Anderson giving us another quirky and charming original film with a star studded cast that's just so much damn fun to watch I definitely would recommend this film.

Rated PG - 13 : for thematic elements and some violent images

When a boy looses his dog he crash lands on a island full of out of place dogs who must help him find his dog

Bryan Cranston : Cranston gives a highly entertaining voice performance here. Cranston has really been delivering great work after work for a long time and he never disappoints he always delivers which he dose here greatly. In the film he plays a stray dog named Cheif and for the most part he's really thick skinned and tough and won't really let anyone in his inner circle. But overtime he learns to soften up and he regains trust in people. Now the way Cranston was able to bring that arc across in the film was fantastic because it made for some really fun and at times emotional moments. When he's being sarcastic and rude it comes across as really funny and his timing is perfect the next he can be so real onscreen and give great emotional parts in the film that really work in the film. You could also tell he just have fun with the character and I couldn't imagine anyone else playing this role more perfectly then Bryan he just brought the character to life with amazing Charisma and great charm. He just delivers on all fronts giving a funny, emotional and highly entertaining performance that will have you smiling in the end overall Bryan really dose another great performance here showcasing great humour with emotion perfectly.

Wes Anderson : Anderson again delivers the good with this charming film! Wes Anderson knows how to create an entertaining film and that he dose once again with this great gem. In this film what I love with what he did was take a serious topic and give it this crime caper feel to it while also juggling serious themes woven throughout the film and letting it speak by not always downplaying it with comedy and knowing when to let the comedy speak. And when it dose it always lands because she has this dark comedy humour style he brings to all of his films and it just works. Also he got you invested in the characters and to care about them and as a whole creates this beautiful frame work of a film that is funny, emotional and touching he has so many tones and layers throughout it he never creates a one dimensional film it can be seen in a number of ways which I love. His quirky zany style fit the story perfectly and he just captures a fun film surrounded by serious themes and leaving the audiences entertained. You can walk away from this film seeing it as a boy and dog best friend film or a dark comedy or a metaphor for the environment that's what I love about it that it can be seen through so many ways not just one and that's why Wes is so incredible in his storytelling technique he's a strong writer and amazing director who knocks it out of the park once again.
