Movie Review : The Wrestler

The Wrestler
Mickey Rourke is a pure genius in this role . So is Marisa Tomei this film was perfect on every scale . Highest recommended drama movie of 2008 I have ever seen!

A Wrestler nicknamed the Ram makes the most of the years he's Alive but not everyone is perfect .

Rated R : language , violence  including Nudity

Mickey Rourke : Brings soul and heart to this unforgettable performance . Mickey is literally reborn in this title role. He plays a man who is emotionally beaten up and needs some love and support . Mickey deserved that Best Actor Oscar . Gave the performance of the year loved every minute of if it.

Marisa Tomei : Gave  one if the best supporting roles I have seen ! She was so great in this role within the short period of time she had in the film . She made the most of the character and brought the role to life loved it.

Darren Aronofsky : I have never heard of this director but after watching this i will watch all of his material . He brought the greatest performance out of his actors. He got you attached and soaked up in every moment of the film. Great directing loved it.

The lighting was great it had this kind of rough and soft feel to it. When you watched  Mickey in the ring you felt like you were their and the lighting was different . but when he is all alone or with his daughter the lighting is more emotional and lighter . Great job!

The cinematography was average nothing special but good job !

The soundtrack for this film was great but the sing that stands out . is Bruce Springsteen's the wrestler . The song spoke volumes it was emotional best song of his since streets of Philadelphia . Loved it!
