Movie Review : Rampage

Rampage
This film is just dumb fun! Dwayne the Rock Johnson brings the goods with an action packed film with great comedy amazing action and a big ass gorilla that causes Mayhem upon the city. It's based off the popular game back in the day so I'll say now this is the closest we are getting to the best video game adaption to the big screen.

I throughly enjoyed this film as it was just a fun popcorn extravaganza that leaves you with a grin on your face and is just so much damn fun. It has a terrific cast along with Naomi Harris and Jeffrey Dean Morgen. The film never overstays it's welcome by being to long but clocks in at the perfect time around an hour and forty seven minutes it's just pure cinematic fun to be had.

It's the Rock delivering a solid performance with great visuals at hand a premiss that has its great moments of humour along with serious scenes as well and even maybe the occasional tear jerking moments too it is a enjoyable film that o definitely recommend people check out that is a blast.

Rated PG - 13 : for sequences of violence, action and destruction, brief language, and crude gestures

This film centres around an animal lover who's incredibly close with a gorilla but when he starts getting big on huge proportions that it becomes dangerous and what will result because if it?

Dwayne Johnson : The Rock is fantastic in this film! Dwayne has been giving us so many films recently this is another great one he can add to his list. In the film he plays in many ways a gorilla whisperer and really understands the creatures and spends more time with them then humans which some find odd. The way Dwayne was able to showcase  a performance and side to him which we haven't seen before was amazing. Sure their are his big movie star moments for sure but their are also genuinely heartfelt moment he shares onscreen as well that is incredibly well done and enjoyable to witness. He showcases great layers of humour and emotional depth in the film which I haven't seem him explore in a while but was so great to see him revisit it again in great style. He carries the weight of this film and delivers greatly giving his stylish performance that will leave the audience entertained and smiling.

Brad Peyton : Brad gives good direction on his mega blockbuster! Brad has given great work previous to this in films such as Journey 2 so I knew his style going in to the film. He's great at showcasing films in chaotic environments and big set pieces and he dose that here again greatly. He was able to provide a solid base with a intriguing premis along with a great lead actor to carry the film and then great brushes of tones throughout it all. He brings the great action sequences then on top with great humour that's never to much but just right and then topping it all off with the emotional punch. He was able to capture all that and result in a gun popcorn action extravaganza. That keeps the auricle entertained and having a great time all thanks to the great director behind the scenes he did a great job here giving us once again a well crafted and solid action flick.
