Television Review : Bates Motel Season 2
Bates Motel Season 2
This show is pure genius! From The beautiful locations to the phenomenal acting. Once you watch a episode you can't turn away it's such a intriguing and entertaining story. Vera&Freddie's chemistry onscreen together is so realistic it's brilliant. This season has lots of suspense , drama some romance another great season for Bates Motel.
Is this season The danger becomes more real! Dylan's drug business gets more personal. Meanwhile Norma is trying to stop the bypass from happening and Norman is fixed on Miss Watson's death. A day in the life at Bates Motel.
Rated 14A : Subject Matter, Violence Throughout , Disturbing Images
Vera Farmiga : She brings such a realistic and real performance to this every time you watch her in this role. The emotional motive she brings to this character is incredible. The way she can go from being completely quiet and calm to screaming and angry in a mattar of seconds is amazing she can turn those emotions on and off easily and the way she portrays those emotions onscreen is so convincing. The chemistry she has with Freddie is Phenomenal when those two are onscreen together the acting feels real and they get you to believe they love each other and have a quiet close relationship. Their overall Vera gives another memorable performance as Norma once again.
Freddie Highmore : Freddie delivers once again another scene stealing performance! Freddie's portrayal as Norman Bates is so dark and entertaining you can't take your eyes off of him when he's onscreen. Just like Vera he's brilliant at using those two emotions the way he can be sweet and quiet then go completely dark in a mattar of seconds is amazing. We get to see so many emotions of Freddie in this season we get to see him go darker which is great we aloha see him be sad and happy so we get to see all different layers of Freddie's acting range and of Norman. When he's onscreen with Vera they light up the screen with their fantastic chemistry the connection they have onscreen is so entertaining it's amazing.
Anthony Cipriano : Anthony is a genius! The brilliant sharp writing is great along with these wonderful characters he's created an intriguing universe where it looks like a quiet small town but within that town their are some dark secrets. Which is fantastic because he pulls you in with a great storyline and entertains you with the powerhouse performances he gets out of his actors. And then he has a cliff hanger at the end of the episode to get you to watch the next to see what happens he has you craving for more Overall Anthony is a master.
The Lighting : The Lighting tone for this film was perfectly chosen! It has this dark eerie feel to the picture then when it gets happy it will go bright and then when it gets quiet and emotional go back to being kind of grayish to the picture. So it was great that they use the lighting to match the picture and use the lighting to show the emotions the characters are going through to make the picture shine through. Loved it great job guys.
The Cinematography : Brilliant camera work! In this show the camera gets you to feel like your walking next to Norma&Norman and experiencing what their going through and going on their journey with them. It's fantastic great job guys.
The Score : The music on this film is brilliant! The music expresses the emotions of the characters when their are not words to describe their feeling or the scene the music will play and express it. It will go dark then go bright the music fit the picture perfectly. Defiantly worth downloading on iTunes.
