Movie Review : The Hard Way

The Hard Way
This film was a fantastic ride! This film had great performances from Michael J. Fox & James Woods with a original and intriguing story this film is a fun film for anyone who likes buddy cop films or just great comedy in general.

A Hollywood actor wants to get to know his character so he travels or New York and works alongside a NYPD officer to study his every trait to nail his next big movie.

Rated R : Strong Language

Michael J. Fox : Michael gave one of the best performances of his career! The energy and spirit he brought to this character was so entertaining. When he was onscreen with James Woods the chemistry was their it felt so real and entertaining. They worked so well together onscreen. The way Michael spoke his dialogue and walked was so different then I'm used to seeing him do. Because he plays this rich hollywood star who's filled of himself which Michael is the complete opposite of so it was refreshing to see him try something new. Overall I loved his performance Golden Globe worthy.

James Woods : James gave a entertaining performance. James plays the tough role in this great comedic buddy cop film. And he plays it so well I saw him In Casino so their was no surprise he was going to deliver another great performance. The way he delivered his dialogue and portrayed this rough New York cop was great. The chemistry he had with Michael on the film was so special they has this connection that Mel & Glover had on Lethal Weapon that they showed onscreen it was brilliant. Overall I loved his performance.

John Badham : John gave direction on this film! He brought such a refreshing take on this original film. He got great performances out of his actors and had great character development. He didn't copy all the buddy cop films like lethal weapon&
Bad Boys he brought his own original take to this film which makes it entertaining. Overall I loved the direction.

The Lighting : the lighting tone for this films was bright since. It's a comedy/ crime film you would expect that so that's what they deliver onscreen and the lighting style brought life to the picture. Great job guys.

The Cinematography : Some shots worth mentioning! In one of the action sequences the camera would bring you in the middle of the action being with the characters every minute Loved it.

The Soundtrack : Some great songs! The music in this film has some great popular songs like Big girls don't cry, momma said knock you out. The music fit the film perfectly. Loved it.
