This film is a sharply written and well crafted film everyone should see! This film at first glance looks like another middle aged reflection piece film. In some aspects it is that but is so much more to it then you think. This film speaks so many levels on top of the terrific work of Ben Stiller as well. This film gives many perspectives and messages that will make you think and at the same time walk away with a good message the film is also trying to convey.

This film sadly a lot of people have not seen due to its type of film it's a small budget indie film and it really went under the radar which is unfortunate because this film truly is a fantastic film people should watch. It's a film for all audiences really and I love that. This film has terrific moments of emotion great drama and truly terrific writing as well. Brads Status is an enjoyable film you won't regret watching and will be so happy you did see it.

This film is about a guy who's teenage son is going off to post secondary and he goes with him to Boston to see the schools his son is interested in. When with his son he also reflects on himself as a father and as a person of what he's done with his life and if he ever was truly successful

Ben Stiller : Ben delivers another fantastic performance once again! Ben has recently really been delving into the dramatic genre and I've really loved that because from what I've seen he truly has a talent for showcasing great emotion and I'm so happy he's been exploring that genre more because he is really good at it. It also is showing people he's more then just the night at the museum guy or Zoolander he's really showing his range as an actor which is amazing. In this film he again gives a truly fantastic performance as a middle aged man who is going through a mid life criss with himself and seeing what has become of him and if he is truly happy. The way Ben was able to bring that to the full front was great to watch. For the reason his performance was so intriguing was due to the fact that a lot of the film he is doing voice over where he's talking to himself. How that impressed me is because the way he would speak or his views on himself were so cynical at times but also at times true and you felt like you believed him in every word he spoke it felt real. He just really shows great colours of emotion here and it's fantastic. You can feel this weight on his shoulders that he wants the best for his son  From the look in his eyes and his voice you can see he really is hurt from some of the pain in his past but also wants the best for his son and the way he looks at him with such admiration is incredible. Ben just really opens up here in the greatest way. Their are scenes where he is venting about what he's angry about and Ben will deliver it with such passion and anger but then can tone it down and just be calm and his levels of emotion he explored in the film was great. He has once again showcased that he can do drama good and knock it out of the park as he shows it here in great fashion. Overall Ben delivers another outstanding performance.

Mike White : Mike gives incredible writing and direction on this film. Mike as many people know wrote School Of Rock so I know he can really craft a great story together with incredible lengths of fantastic dialogue. He once again writes another great film and directs it equally as great as his writing on the film. On this film Mike was able to also direct the film in this stylish small budget feel giving the film great amounts of emotion and comedy and heart giving the right dose of every single one  not letting one outbalance or outweighs each other but just giving the right amount. As well as getting a terrific cast giving great work while also delivering a heartwarming message the audience can walk away with By also keeping the plot intriguing to keep them invested with the story at hand. He made this film a serious drama but also let it have great comedy at times  and amazing heart you can't help but love. Mike delivers on all levels capturing the audience with his sharp writing and terrific direction on this film Mike once again gives great work on his part.

The Score : The melody in this film was incredibly well composed! The score in this film felt very gentle and soft and has this great vibe and sound to the film that really helped set the scene. It captured the emotion terrifically but also was great for helping express a scene without words it was well composed and just a terrific score.
