Movie Review : Thor Ragnarok

Thor Ragnarok
This film is a blast! The latest entry into the Thor franchise is the best one yet. Thor's trilogy hasn't always been a steady one. The first one being good but not great the second one just being really bland and dark but somewhat enjoyable and this one blows those two right out of the water.

The Film has incredible visuals of great sets and visual effects really bringing the screen to life with fantastic colours. As well the story at hand is handled very well and is very fun to go along with. It has great amounts of comedy and action as well as its fair share of emotional moments as well. This film is entertaining from start to finish giving you just a fun time with a truly great film. With great performances as well given by the whole cast Thor Ragnarok is the best Thor film yet and one of the most fun Marvel films to date!

The story revolves around Thor and when he comes home to Asguard and things aren't as they were and Thor's sister comes into town causing havoc.

Rated PG - 13 : intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and brief suggestive material

Chris Hemsworth : Chris delivers a marvellous performance in the latest Thor saga. By this point Chris has played the God of thunder 4 times so he knows his character inside and out. So what could he bring to the table to entertain us with this charming character once again? Well from what he shows onscreen he can still show chase sides to the character we haven't yet seen. What he dose quiet a bit in this film that I enjoyed was his use of comedy and Chris is no shock when it comes to comedy as he's done it before and he dominates it once more here in the greatest way. As we get great lengths of comedy from him here he also isn't shy to show his more emotional and raw talent which he is equally great at. In the film their are parts where he can break your heart from his delivery and how genuine it feels to getting you to break out in laughs and his switch with emotion is fantastic as well as showing a great character arc and journey throughout the film. Again Chris shows why he is the god of thunder with once again another great performance as Thor.

Taika Waititi : Taika delivers a terrific film! This filmmaker I am unfamiliar with and prior to seeing this film had not seen any of his past work. After seeing this and what he brought to this great franchise I cannot wait to see what he dose next. This franchise has been incredibly rocky and needed some new blood and Taika breathed such fresh new light into this franchise. He was able to craft a story with fantastic humour and action as well as emotion and tremendous visuals giving by far the best Thor film to date! What I loved with what he brought to the film was fun and humour. The Thor films have been so serious and it takes the material so seriously that their has been very little humour. What he brought was big amounts of humour and that's just what it needed and he delivered a fun filled film not taking it to seriously but at the same time also making sure their were moments of emotion and not always going for the joke. The great big bright visuals he also brought made this film very upbeat and just had this great colourful beat to it that was so well done. As well as casting great actors from Oscar Winning Cate Blancett to Idris Elba and Mark Ruffalo he truly pulled out all the punches for this film. Resulting in a fun and entertaining Marvel movie that delivers on all levels thanks to the terrific  direction by breathing great new life into this franchise.

The Lighting : The colours in this film were gorgeous! The colour pallet in the movie was greatly used and executed. The use of yellow and blue and a whole mix of others really made the frame pop out and very vibrant. Giving this Guardians Pf The Galaxy look to it with its fantastic spectacle showcased onscreen. The lighting helped match the tone greatly and the emotional scenes as well. The lighting really delivers here in an amazing way.
