Movie Review : Star Wars : The Force Awakens

Star Wars : The Force Awakens
The force is strong with this one! This film is a absolute triumph providing everything we wanted to see in this film. It Brought that wonder and Star Wars magic that we saw in the original films and what the prequels didn't provide. Along with great performances from the cast it really went back to the roots of Star Wars and showed us why we fell in love with this Jedi loving franchise. This film is nothing below extraordinary definitely one of the best pictures of the year the force truly has awakened with this terrific picture.

It takes place after the events of Return Of The Jedi

Rated PG - 13 : Intense action sequences

Daisy Ridley : A outstanding pertinence from a unknown up and coming actor that will for sure be noticed for her emotionally carried performance in this film. Daisy plays the character of Rey as her own she doesn't try and copy anything off the other characters in the Star Wars universe she made the character her own and that's great to see. As well as carrying a emotional and gripping performance that got you to care about her  and so invested in her. A lot of the characters don't really carry that they make a good appearance in the film but only a few can have that hook to make you fully caught up in them which she shows excellently onscreen. On top of all that the most vital her performance for a actor who's never been in anything before to give this captivating performance is astonishing. When she spoke you were so convinced that she meant it she was so genuine onscreen theirs not one flaw in her performance. Also you could tell the vulnerability she had in her eyes was so true and real it was amazing she was just in every moment of this film. Overall a terrific performance and great edition to the Star Wars family.

Adam Driver : Adam gives a terrific performance that deserves to be recognized. I have said in my review for this is where I leave you he really had a talent and will be a threat in the acting game for film and he shows it once again in this film. When you see him in the film the anger and drive you see in his eyes are so intense and looks so real. When Adam acts i feel like he really commits himself to his character putting a piece  of himself in his roles and that he shows in this film. When he delivered his dialogue the tone in his voice was intimidating and so convincing his emotional attachment to the character was real. He doesn't show his emotional aspect in the out and open but when he speaks and see his eyes you can see it that's what I like about his performance. He packs everything in this film even if you don't see it up close. Overall Driver delivers another great performance.

Harrison Ford : Harrison gives a outstanding return to our favourite space cowboy along with a terrific performance. Harrison slips back into this role like a glove and he makes it look effortless. Ford has played this character in now 4 films so he is the character he isn't really acting and I love that. The emotion he brings to the screen in this film is fantastic. He shines with his sarcastic humour we have come to love but this time he really pushes the envelope with the serious side of Solo in this one. Which is fantastic because we don't see him to provide that with Han so it's nice and refreshing to see. His performance in words "scene stealing" it really was because when he first appears on screen you go quiet and just watch because it's the first time in 30 something years we have seen Ford play Han and to see it again is so magical. I would say that his performance as Solo in this film is his best that he's ever given from the series. Reason I say that is because he brings the charm we have come to love from him then he turns it and plays it serious which I find outstanding. So overall Ford delivers a powerhouse performance as Han Solo.

JJ. Abrams : I am sorry Star Trek fans it seems like JJ put a lot more passion and effort into making this film perfect then the Star Trek ones he did. He was the best person to direct this film no other person would of done such a brilliant job like Abrams did. He really brought that magic and gritty feel to the picture we haven't seen from the series since the originals. Why his direction is so good is because he brings everything a fan wants in a Star Wars film they want to be entertained with a entertaining plot and pulse pounding action sequences and he dose just that along with bringing characters we have come to love back to the screen. I think this is the best directed film he has ever done and he has directed this film to such perfection I think it's safe to say from his genius this is the best Star War film since the original thanks to JJ. The series is in good hands overall JJ is a outstanding director who deserves to be recognized for his great creativity and hard work for this film.

The Lighting : It was fantastic. The tones used in this film was a big factor in the film. It provided that dirty gritty feel to the picture. Then for the dark scenes it would be black or greyish it really helped set the film perfectly.

The Cinematography : Breathtaking! The camerawork on this film was amazing they filled up the scene with everything and shows the scope of the film on a grand scale. Really throwing you in the middle of everything to feel like your their. It was very well done overall the camerawork was fantastic.

The Score : John Williams strikes another masterpiece! Williams has created some of the most iconic film scores in film history. Once again he provided a beautifully well composed piece of music that fit the emotion and style of the film to perfection. Overall Williams created one of the best film  scores of the year.
