Movie Review : The Hunger Games : Mockingjay Part 2

The Hunger Games :
 Mockingjay Part 2
This film was good but had the potential to be better! The film was so unfaithful to my favourite book out of the franchise it was a let down for a franchise that was coming to a close. Seems like Katniss arrow missed the target and killed the true fans in the heart with not staying true to the book probably the worst film of the year.

Katniss Everdeen the girl on fire leads the rebellion to the final fight to bring down president snow.

Rated PG - 13: intense sequences of action and some disturbing images

Jennifer Lawrence : A disappointing performance from the girl on fire. I am not saying I hated her performance but it was a disappointment coming from Lawrence out of all people. She's such a talented actress and I love her acting she's my favourite actress but even my favourite film stars have bad performances. I think she was the best as Katniss Everdeen in the first film because she was so passionate about the role and she really became that character and she was so emotionally captivating. In this film I felt like she didn't put any effort into her performance or her dialogue not making anything she said believable. I was so let down that is why I love Harry Potter because the cast never did that they always tried to up their performance and not do just a average job which is obviously shown here. I'd like to say Jennifer you have great talent but you didn't live up to standards of a great performance I know you can give a Oscar caliber performance but in this film you gave a emotionless performance you can do better I know you can.

Josh Hutcherson : A emotional performance his portal of Peeta in this film is the best out of the series! Josh gives a scene stealing performance that deserves recognition for his great work in this film. In this film he bares his soul giving his all to his final portrayal of Peeta Mellark. When he was onscreen you couldn't take your eyes off him because he was just so engaging and was so in the moment that you believed what he was saying. This is definitely one of Josh's finest performances to date. Because in this film we got to see so many layers to him we saw but not all the way in this film she shows every emotion he has inside him and it's great because then we get to see his range. He was so phenomenal in this film overall Josh delivers a outstanding performance as Peeta Mellark.

Francis Lawrence : Terrible direction! Ok I would first like to say his direction on a Catching fire was good defiantly better then the direction on this film. That being said what the hell was he thinking not even staying true to the novel in this film. It's the final chapter the last film the big finale and he messes it up with one simple mistake not staying true to the film. It was slow at times the to fast at times he could get the pace right. For true fans he might as well slapped them in the face because he didn't even care about the fans when making this film obviously terrible direction.

The Lighting : it was this brownish feel to the picture it was so bad it almost put me to sleep someone please get me a tea while your at it.

The Cinematography : nothing worth mentioning

The Score : The only score by James Newton Howard I have disliked it was so discreet. I couldn't even hear the music like put some passion and heart into the music man have you lost your touch?
