Movie Review : Scream

Scream
This film redefined horror films! With it's well written story by the master of horror Wes Craven. To the bloody violence in the film this film will have the iconic a Ghostface stuck in your head forever. One of the greatest horror film trilogies or just in general of all time.

Sidney is trying to deal with the passing of her mother and is delet with a scary situation of a killer in a white mask with a black outfit killing people around her will she be next? Or will she live to tell the story?

Rated R : Strong language, violence and gore and some sexuality

Neve Campbell : One of the best female Hero's filmed onscreen! By this point in film their haven't been much female heroines except for Weavers character in Alien or Foster in Silence Of The Lambs. So it was refreshing to see a female badass instead of the stereotypical male who saves the day. But what I enjoyed about Neves take on this character was she was able to fend for herself she knows how to get out of a situation and how she's able to connect to the character emotionally which was great. Because her character has overcome some traumatic experiences and the way she was able to kind of slip in the skin of this character was even better because you can believe what she's saying. You can believe she's in pain when she's crying because she has great acting range. Which is one of the reasons why this film is the spectacular classic it is today overall she gave a incredible strong performance.

Courtney Cox : brilliant performance! Courtney was still doing Friends her iconic role as Monica Gellar and what she did that was so fantastic in this film was she gets you to get that image out of your head and only see her as Gale Weathers. Which is great when someone plays a iconic role it's incredibly hard to forget about that character when they play onscreen like when Daniel Radcliffe played in Horns you can't get out of your head it's Harry Potter onscreen and no matter what he plays he will have that image cemented in my head. So yeah Cox pulled that off making it look effortless. She plays this really selfish reporter who will do anything to get that exclusive story and the way she plays her gets you to love and hate her. When she's onscreen she steals it with her great witty dialogue and hilarious chemistry with David&Neve which seemed so natural. I couldn't imagine anyone play Weathers except for Courtney. She just contributes the greatness to the film film wouldn't be the same without this loving character overall loved her performance.

David Arquette : This film put David on the map! Before he did this film not many people knew who he was so when he took this role he's now an icon for this film. He plays Dewey and he's a serious Supporting character in the film and is a great relaxed fun character. Since the film is so intense and serious his character is so straight forward it comes across funny and it's great to see they because to see a character different from the pack to give you a fun loving character. And you can't help but love his character the chemistry he has with Cox is so real you believe they got a connection. His character has so much heart and spirit is what makes him so loveable. Overall loved the performance

Wes Craven : Wes gave one of the best directed films ever! Wes is incredibly well known for his craft of directing horror films. So when I heard he directed this film I was quite excited. What was so rich about the direction was he was able to execute such a fresh and intriguing intense plot line. With great performances from the cast to the soundtrack to songs like Red Right Hand. All of it tied together so well that it's the  classic it is today. He brought his touch of gore to the film that he's known for and the film is so good you can't turn away because it's that good no one could of directed this film only Wes could. Overall Wes saves and reinvented suspenseful rich horror films.

The Lighting : Loved the tones it was great. The film is a horror but the time was so dark and eerie it made you think what's going to happen next it got you In the moment Which I loved great job guys.

The Cinematography : Some great angles! With the opening sequence the way it was shot built up the suspense but at the same time wouldn't know what's around the corner. It gets you to feel like your involved in every moment of the film I loved the camerawork great job guys.

The Score : The music was simply fantastic! Like the lighting it felt eerie and dark but the also used some great songs including Red Right Hand. The film was fit in the picture perfectly. Loved it
