Movie Review : Mad Max : Fury Road
Mad Max : Fury Road
This film was visually stunning! The great massive scale action sequences to the amazing blend of colours this film is one of the best and most entertaining hard core action films I have seen in a long time.
In the desert where water is like gold one man must save the day Mad Max is back
Rated R : Intense sequences of action throughout some nudity and some disturbing images
Tom Hardy : an entertaining intense performance from Hardy once again! Hardy is a fantastic actor who's played some really entertaining characters such as Bane in the Dark Knight Rises to films like Warrior and Inception. So when I heard he was playing this iconic character I got excited because he always entertains but in this film he didn't say much he delivered his performance mostly through emotion and actions. When you looked in his eyes you can see his hurt and pain and the way he delivered his dialogue seemed like he's very closed up and doesn't let people in cause of his past. So even the little things Tom brought to the role was great. I would love to see Hardy reprise in future Mad Max films to come overall fantastic performance.
Charlize Theron : Her raw and incredible performance captured me from the beginning till the end. Charlize has played so many roles but not many I hand pick that are action packed characters. So when I saw her in this I was excited to see her execute this character. And wow she did an amazing job probably one of her finest performances to date she was able to capture the sheer pain and suffering this character has gone through and show it in such a believable way onscreen. The way she looked in her costume and makeup to her eyes and how they could tell so much without saying a single word was powerful. Not many female Hero's are captured on film only a few like Weavers character in Alien not many so it was refreshing to see a female hero in the role and just show her gritty and toughness onscreen. Overall loved her performance all around great.
George Miller : Miller is back and is a force to be reckoned with! This Oscar winning director has captured audiences all over the world with his incredibly well known film franchise Mad Max. And in this film he showed us why we fell in love with the character and it's universe in the first place with this film. What I especially admire was he didn't use CGI for the big action sequences he shot majority of those scenes partially meaning that most of the action actually happened it wasn't made on a computer screen. It was perfectly executed by the stunt team and that makes the film better that all the effects were practical. He was able to entertain you without much dialogue and mostly with the beautiful images he was expressing onscreen. The imagery he had with the costumes, sets and just the tone of the film he created was brilliant. Only George could of directed this film it's his masterpiece and he's the only one with the great vision to bring this entertaining world alive onscreen. Overall loved his direction
The Lighting : Best lighting I have ever seen in a motion picture! The lighting was very gritty at times and felt yellowish and just brought the vibe of the film alive. It would change at times to fit the tone of the emotion it was incredibly well done from start to finish you couldn't take your eyes off the screen perfect job guys.
The Cinematography : To sum in one word breathless. The angles used in this film made you grip onto your seat and get fully immersed into the universe of the film capturing every nail biting aspect of the action. It got the adrenaline pumping in you and just made you feel like you were with Max throughout the entire film. Overall loved it great job guys.
The Score : Powerful! It had great big moments when the film couldn't be expressed through dialogue and action but just music. And it did a great job of providing that it felt fast paced at times then when it was more mellow very low key and slow which was nice it had different sounds to the picture. When it was a action sequence it felt loud and all the sounds got you in the moment of it all loved it great job guys defiantly worth downloading on iTunes.
