Movie Review : The Imitation Game

The Imitation Game
This film was spectacular! The brilliant performances from Benedict&Keira is simply fantastic to the great direction, costume design the beautiful score. This film outstanding!

The true story of  Mathematician Alan Turing attempts to Solve an enigma code to end the war

Rated PG - 13 : For some sexual references, Mature Thematic Material and Historical Smoking

Benedict Cumberbatch : Benedict delivers  an electric performance! I have seen some of his other work such as The Fifth Estate, August : Osage County& Star Trek Into Darkness. Those performances are entertaining but Cumberbatch brings his acting to a whole new level in this film. The emotional drive you see him have in the film was amazing it was I want to help end the war but people are constantly looking down on me because I work with a different method. The way he showed that onscreen was fantastic I've seen Benedict be emotional onscreen before but in this film he shows emotions you haven't seen him express onscreen before you get to see frustration, a bit of anger, sadness. You got to see different layers of the character and of Cumberbatch's acting range which was great. The chemistry he had onscreen with Keira was entertaining you could see the connection they had when they were onscreen together. When Benedict was onscreen he stole the screen with his very well written dialogue the way he walked you couldn't take your eyes off him he was outstanding. Overall A Phenomenal performance by Cumberbatch

Keira Knightley : Keira gives a very entertaining performance! I Keira was amazing in this film I love seeing her in dramatic films I think it shows her shine with her great acting range and outstanding emotional drive. In this film her emotional motive is I care about Alan and I want to help solve this code to just like anybody else who is part of it. Which she delivered perfectly onscreen she shows new sides of emotion I haven't seen her show onscreen before like anger and frustration & sadness it was great seeing different layers of her acting range. When she's onscreen when you watch her she slips into the characters skin  she fully become the character the way she spoke and walked she just put herself in this character feeling those characters emotions she didn't pretend to have those emotions she used her real emotions so when you see her mad she's putting herself in the character  which made for a more entertaining and convincing performance. Overall I loved her performance.

Morten Tyldum : Morten is a genius! Morten did a great job at directing this outstanding film. He got great powerhouse performances out of his actors he chose great locations to film the movie, great costume design all of it fell into place perfectly. The way he got you to care so much about these wonderful characters was amazing so at the end of the film your smiling and feeling all these emotions because you get attached to the characters And not many filmmakers can do that.  He also did a great job at getting you to feel like you were in the time period of the past which was great he got you to escape from your everyday lives for a few hours and got it to feel like you were actually their Overall fantastic Job Morten.

The Lighting : The lighting tones for this film was very well chosen. It was bright but had this rich feel to the picture which fit the film perfectly Great job guys.

The Cinematography : some worth mentioning shots. When Benedict & Keira were onscreen it felt like you went on the journey with them and were with them from the beginning to the end I loved how they got you to feel like you were their  loved it great job guys.

The Score : Alexandre Desplat is a outstanding composer! The way he used the music as a way to express the characters emotions or just to describe a scene the music would speak volumes more then words which I loved. Outstanding job once again Desplat.
