The Hunger Games : Catching Fire

The Hunger Games : Catching Fire
This film was a wonderful sequel! With great performances from Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutherson the sets and costumes were stunning. The storyline is very intriguing once the film started you couldn't take your eyes off the screen. This is one of the greatest films of the year!

After 74th Hunger Games the Katniss& Peeta spark a conflict with the capital which forces Katniss to go back in the games.

Rated PG - 13 : intense sequences of violence and action some frightening images, thematic elements a suggestive situation and language

Jennifer Lawrence :  She gave such an  intense and entertaining performance! She Definitely stepped up her acting range in this film. Because this film she is suffering from post dramatic stress.  So when she's onscreen she grabs your attention with her strong emotional abilities you see her more protective then ever in this one she is stressed, angry&scared and the way she shows that onscreen was outstanding when she's crying or screaming you believe it because Jennifer puts 100 percent of herself into her role's  which makes for a more  convincing and entertaining performance. The chemistry  she has with her co - Stars was fantastic especially Josh Hutcherson when those two onscreen they make sparks fly with how much love  they have for each other and how much they care for each other. Overall Jennifer steps up her acting in this fantastic role outstanding performance.

Josh Hutcherson :  He gives steps up his performance in this film in a huge way!
When we last saw  Josh in The Hunger Games in 2012 he gave a good performance at connecting with the character but he didn't grab my attention emotionally which in this film he dose greatly. In this film since the games he's changed he is more stressed and it is great to see him expand his acting range. In this one I thought we got to see more layers of Josh's acting abilities and of his character we got to see him be romantic towards Katniss. Then how he knows the capital isn't that happy with him and Katniss and how the tributes are more experienced and lethal. So it was great to see him step up his game. The chemistry he has onscreen with his co-stars was fantastic when he's onscreen with them the acting seems real making for a more convincing relationship between the characters. Overall a remarkable performance.

Francis Lawrence : When I first heard that Gary Ross the director from the first installment wasn't going to be directing the sequel and I thought that Francis was going to mess up this wonderful franchise I was so wrong. Francis made an outstanding sequel he stayed true to Suzanne Collins novel and had fantastic fast paced action sequences great character development and got great performances  out of his actors. He did a excellent job directing this wonderful film great job Francis.

The Lighting : The lighting in this film was very interesting. In the beginning when Katniss is in her district the tone is dark and gritty which fit the picture perfectly then when they were in the games it was more bright and fast paced so I like how they used the lighting perfectly to fit the emotion and feel of the picture. Great job guys.

The Cinematography : Their are some shots worth mentioning their is a scene when Katniss shoots  the arrow at the sky it felt so powerful it made you feel great emotion and got you to be in the moment  I loved how they shot the film it made you feel like you were with them and experiencing every minute with them. Great job guys

The Soundtrack : The tracks is amazing! Songs like We Remain by Christina Aguilera, Who We Are by Imagine Dragons and more! This soundtrack fits the tine of the film perfectly definitely worth downloading on iTunes. Best Film Soundtrack of 2013
