Movie Review : The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games
This film is the best fantasy film since Harry Potter! The intriguing story the beautiful sets and costumes. The action felt so gripping and suspenseful. Easily one of the best films of 2012!

Katniss Everdeen volunteers when her sister is picked for the Hunger Games. A televised event which shows kids who train the to fight to the death in a arena theirs 24 only one comes out will it be Katniss?

Rated 14A : Disturbing images, intense violent thematic material

Jennifer Lawrence : She gave such a scene stealing performance. Before I saw this film I didn't know much about Jennifer but after I saw this film she's my favorite actress to watch in films now. The emotion she shows in the character is she wants to survive to see her family and she makes sure she doesn't get to attached to people because she can't trust people in the Games. The way she delivers the dialogue and the way you see the emotion on her face makes it seem more real. The chemistry she has with Josh onscreen is electric. When their in a scene together they get you to believe that they care about each other and they love each other. It's great. Overall she gave a fantastic performance

Josh Hutcherson : He gave such a emotionally captivating performance. The raw emotion that Josh brings to the character was fantastic. His character shows that he just wants to get the games over with and he doesn't want the games to change him. He displays this beautifully just looking at the emotion on his face he makes it seem so real like Jennifer's it's extraordinary what he delivers. Overall he gave a fantastic performance.

Gary Ross : He did a wonderful job at adapting the book to the screen. Because some books that get turned into films disappoint the fans and don't live up to their expectations. He also got you to care about these wonderful characters. What Gary delivered was  he got great performances well written dialogue it all fell into place perfectly. He did great direction great job Gary.

The Lighting : nothing worth mentioning.

The cinematography : Some shots are worth mentioning when Katniss is  running off the platform they use this piece of music that's loud but has a silent tone to it and the angles they used in those few seconds was spectacular Great job guys.

The Score : The score was very well composed it felt very mellow at times then fast paced. But also theirs a great track they made for this film called Safe And Sound by Taylor Swift. Definitely download the song and the score the music for this film is perfection.
