Movie Review : Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone
This film was a breakthrough in filmmaking! The astonishing detailed sets and the breathtaking visual effects. This film is the best adaption of a book to film I have ever seen. The great performances by first time actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson& Rupert Grint. This film is one of the best film franchises of all time.
When a young boy gets accepted into this magical and exciting world. Harry's world is changed forever.
Rated PG : for scary moments and mild Language
Daniel Radcliffe : For a young first time actor he gave a great performance. He gives a performance that's emotionally captivating. When you look into his eyes you can see the wonder and pain It was fantastic. The chemistry he had with his co - stars was brilliant. When Grint, Daniel&Watson were onscreen together they convinced you that they were close friends. They make a great duo it just makes the film ten times greater with their chemistry. Loved his performance.
Rupert Grint : He gave a great performance. His character is serious but also knows when to be serious at times. The chemistry he had with Emma&Daniel was fantastic. The emotion he has in the character is he uses his humor to relive the tension in the room but also had a heart of courage. Rupert couldn't of been a better choice to play this character fantastic performance.
Emma Watson : she gives such a great performance as Hermione Granger. The spirit she brings to the role is fantastic. The life she brings to the character is she shows that she's a girl dedicated to her work and is very intelligent. But when she's in situations she quiet cunning and uses her smarts and knowledge to get out of them. Which I think is the brilliance of her character is she's serious but also is quiet funny at times. The way Emma portrayed this beloved character onscreen was great. The way she delivered the dialogue and just became the character was fantastic. She was the best choice for Granger. I loved her chemistry with Daniel&Rupert their great onscreen together the way they feed off each other with entertaining performances is great. I loved her performance.
Chris Columbus : He gave genius direction on this brilliant film. The way he made the sets so beautifully detailed down to the costumes. I loved how when you read the book you all of this and he just takes what you imagined out of the book and translate it so brilliantly onscreen. He cast the best actors for these wonderful characters. He did a genius job at staying true to the novel. He did a great
job.
The Lighting : It felt very bright and joyful for most of the film. But when it got more dark and serious the tone in lighting would change which was brilliant how they did it. Great job guys.
The Cinematography : It had some really wonderful shots. The scene when you first see Hogwarts it feels so magical and they your part of their world. It was great how they shot it. Great job guys.
The Score : John Williams is Brilliant. The amazing score piece of Hedwig's theme was beautifully scored. It felt very high and triumphed at times. But also was low key at times. It fit the film perfectly john has once again outdone himself. I love this score.
