Movie Review : Thor

Thor
Another great Marvel film once again! This role is what made Chris the star he is today playing such a iconic character with a great performance. This film though did have some plot holes that was noticeable. I felt the film needed more turns because films like Sherlock Holmes (2011). Because that film in particular has turns in which you wouldn't expect to happen is which I thought Thor didn't succeed in having. Besides that it was a good film.

This tells the story of the god of thunder Thor! Thor is banished for something he has done when his brother is gone it drives his brother to unbearable measures. To gain power on the throne.

Rated PG - 13 : intense action sequences&Rude Humor

Chris Hemsworth : He gave a great portrayal as the god of thunder. The way he spoke and looked in the outfit was great it made the performance better and more believable. When Natalie and Chris were in a scene together they made you think these were real people with the outstanding emotion they both had when they were onscreen together. This was another  great performance by Chris.

Natalie Portman : She gave a great performance as the love interest of the film. Natalie isn't seen in Marvel films or comic book films so when this film came along and I heard she was starring in it I was surprised. It's great she's trying different genres and not just being defined by doing one kind of genre. The performance she gives in this film is great. She plays a girl who is a hard worker trying to use her research to find the hidden answers she's been looking for. The sense of wonder in her eyes was great also when she was looking at Thor you can see the love she has for him in her eyes also it just shines right through. Once again another great performance by Portman.

Tom Hiddleston : He gave one of the greatest performances of a villain that I have seen in a while. The way he walks and speaks his dialogue is so creepy that you can't look away. The way he can be nice and loving then stab you in the back and betray you is great because he can play both sides very well and that's hard to find. The screen time he shares with Chris is great because they play brothers in the film so they have to convince you they are brothers and they did just that they were very convincing. He is great in this role great performance.

Kenneth Branagh&Joss Whedon : When I found out that these two were working together I was absolutely shocked. Because I never thought that these two would direct together. But they did a great job and when they put their minds together they put a great film onscreen which Thor is a great example for. The great performances they got out of their actors were great and the humongous sets , the costumes etc. but what was a falling point for me was the script to me it felt weak because it was just your average story get to the objective and complete my assignment.which is what this film shows if they showed more surprises like Iron Man (2008) it would of been a perfect film. Besides that great direction

The Lighting : It felt like your average blockbuster superhero movie . Bright at the positive and happy scenes and more low key at the emotional and serious scenes . Great job guys.

The Cinematography : Their was some worth mentioning shots. When Thor has his last battle in the film it felt like you were their experiencing it with them being apart of it. I loved that.

The Score : All Marvel scored are brilliant this one is a great example of that. When the angles pan on Thor it feels loud and beautiful just very well composed. When it was a scene with Tom it would kind of creep up on you which was genius. Greet job.
