Movie Review : Thor The Dark World

Thor The Dark World
This is a great sequel that lived up to my expectations of this franchise. The story they brought to the film was so entering and had a darker tone to the picture which I loved. Great film.

This tells the follow up to Thor the last time we see him. This time he gets in a very difficult situation which gets him to bring someone back an old demon.

Rated PG - 13 : intense violence sequences&Rude Humor

Chris Hemsworth : He gave another great performance as the god of thunder once again. The way he gets the character to jump on the page and really become convincing as the character onscreen is great. This time he really stepped up his game on his acting abilities. In the first one he was great it's just in this one he was more captivating and entertaining. When Chris&Tom were onscreen together once again they were great. This time it felt like the emotion was really their and it just felt so real which was genius. Great performance by Chris!

Natalie Portman : She gave another great performance once again as her portrayal as Jane Foster. The charisma and spirit she brings to this wonderful character is great. The chemistry she has with Chris onscreen is so convincing. She doesn't play the damsel in distress which I love that she can fight when she needs to and is very intelligent. Which Natalie shows brilliantly onscreen. I loved her performance.

Tom Hiddleston : He gave such a great performance once again as the dark brother Loki. The anger that he has in his eyes when he plays this role and the curiosity is great. He has this way when he speaks the dialogue it feels like the character just jumps off the page and onto the screen and he becomes the character. He gets consumed by the characters so the emotion feels real it's fantastic. I love this performance he raises the bar on his acting  every time he plays this character. Great performance.

Alan Taylor : I was quite surprised that Kenneth didn't direct the second installment in this franchise. So when I heard that Alan Taylor was directing it I hoped that he would do the sequel justice. And he did he brought this style of direction I haven't seen before. The way he got the performances out of his actors and the great big sets and intriguing story was great. He did a great job at directing this beloved franchise in the right direction.

The Lighting : it was your average big budget blockbuster superhero film. It was bright but not much in this one. It had a darker tone to the picture since this one has a darker story it fit the frame perfectly.

The Cinematography : Nothing eye popping or worth mentioning. Good job guys.

The Score : It felt like every other Marvel score brilliant. The way the music would guide with the emotions in the film was genius. When Thor was angry it would be slightly more louder but when it was emotional more low key which I loved. That it was great with guiding the emotions of the film smoothly. Great job.
