Best De Niro performance ever! This film had a pitch perfect performance by Robert De Niro & Joe Pepsi . The brilliant directing by legendary director Martin Scorsese.

This tells the story of Jake LaMotta a boxer who is a animal in the ring but when he brings his temper and violence to his personal life in the end he ends up destroying himself .

Robert De Niro : He delivered his best performance I have ever come across ! The emotion and spirit he brought to this character was incredible . The anger he brought out was so convincing . I have seen the Deer Hunter , Taxi Driver, The Godfather part 2 .  All of those are excellent performances by De Niro but this performance stands out as his best . He won the Oscar for best actor and well deserved it . He is the best actor since Brando and will go down in history as one of the best actors of all time . Loved his performance it was phenomenal .

Joe Pesci : He gave one of the best supporting performances I have seen in a while ! His emotion he had the anger frustration and sadness were all so convincing . When Joe and De Niro were in a scene together it was magic because both of their performances were stellar so it just felt even more real which was great. He was nominated for the Oscar for best supporting actor and well deserved it . But
was snubbed it was a huge mistake by the Academy .

Martin Scorsese : This was another masterpiece by Martin. The collaboration with Martin&De Niro is genius . The films they have collaborated on in the past are some of the most cinematic and memorable films in cinema history. From Taxi Driver, Casino,GoodFellas, Cape Fear etc. Their just a force to be reckoned with . The performance that Scorsese gets out of De Niro every single time they work together is brilliant . This film is another stellar collaboration of them both. The directing was amazing and De Niro's performance was powerful. Brilliant job Scorsese!

The Lighting : it was black&white picture and that's what I loved about the film . It just felt right .

Cinematography : the shots of De Niro in the boxing ring was magnificent . It felt like you were in the ring with him experiencing it and the journey along. I loved it.

The Score. : it felt perfect to a Scorsese picture deep  and moving . The emotion that the music brought was great I loved it.
