Movie Review : Maleficent

Maleficent
This film was one of the most visually stunning films since Alice In Wonderland (2010) ! The gorgeous costume that Angelina Jolie had in the film was stunning. The acting by Jolie was so diabolical it was magnificent . I love this picture .

This tells the tale of Maleficent and the emotional journey she goes on the journey of Pain , Joy, Sadness . Never judge someone for their looks because you don't know what they have been through .

Rated PG : for sequences of fantasy action and violence, including frightening images

Angelina Jolie : Gave such a convincing role as this intimidating , creepy character! The emotion she struck in your hearts when she was terrified of sad was heartbreaking . She just raised the bar on her acting. She looked gorgeous in the costume and the makeup they applied to her her was superb.

Ella Fanning : She is honestly the next Jennifer Lawrence ! Her acting is so great she's been in films like We Bought a zoo , Super 8, Somewhere and more! Her acting in this role was great when her and Jolie were in a scene together it just felt like sparks flew it felt real and organic . I loved it . The emotion Ella showed joy, frustration , sadness . The incredible thing about the performance is she showed all these emotions and makes them believable & convincing . I loved it !

Robert Stromberg: for a first time director he nailed this film. He is best known for doing visual effects for films such as his Oscar winning films Alice in wonderland , Avatar and so many other great films he's worked on. This was his first time sitting in the directors chair . He accomplished a great piece of film for his first film. The beautiful costumes , makeup , art direction was amazingly shown onscreen. The great performance he got out of Ella& Jolie was brilliant . Great job!

The Lighting : It was dark and eerie felt much like 1990's Sleepy Hollow . But ten times better it felt like a old fashioned drama fantasy film it was amazing . When Jolie was sad the lighting was dark and emotional . But when Ella was in the forest it was fun and bright loved it!

The Cinematography : it was outstanding the shots of Jolie when she entered the castle was amazing . And the way they would pan up to her face when she was in pain and also when she laughed really made it feel real . Great Job,

The Score : James Newton Howard made another brilliant score. The way he made it dark and eerie but also made it upbeat bright and fun. Not many composers can execute that brilliantly and make the music match the film perfectly . Loved every minute of it!
