Mission Impossible : Fallout

Mission Impossible : Fallout
This review,  should you accept it, will start in 3.. 2.. 1..
this film is an action packed, shocking, well acted and fantastic film that I would even say is the best out of the franchise! This film doubles down on all the action you wanted and giving breathtaking sequences one after the other always topping the last. This film really steps up its game and gives you your money’s worth with not just a great mission Impossible film but also a great film in general.

Secondly, This is the rarity where I can say that I found nothing in this film that irritated me or bugged me it just worked on all levels and that complaint is very rare from me. It not only is great visually but also delivers really strong performances from the cast as well. Ving Rhames stunned with with a shockingly emotional turn as his character giving his best portrayal of Luther onscreen in this film I can also say the same for Tom’s work on this film as well he gives his best outing as Ethan in this one as well and He really brings the character into new territory that we haven’t seen before which I loved.

Lastly, this film delivers the best outing of The Impossible franchise with this film as well as giving one of the greatest action films I’ve ever seen period.  giving a mix of Espionage, Action and thrills that result in an explosive film that will leave you wanting more.

Rated PG - 13 : for violence and intense sequences of action, and for brief strong language

This film picks up where Rogue Nation left off this time Ethan is sent to go retrieve Solomon Lane before he gives a group of terrorist a device that could bring the world into chaos.

Tom Cruise : Cruise dominates the screen with his dazzling portrayal of Ethan Hunt in the latest Mission film. Tom has been playing this character since 1996 that’s 23 years ago he started bringing this character to life and ever since then has given more and more depth to this person but his take on Ethan here I believe to be his strongest yet. Why I say that may ask if because this film is 23 years later he’s a battered and worn guy by this point who’s been in the field for so long and he brings a more emotional turn on Ethan then I expected. In this film he is a lot more darker and really looses it and has total revenge in his eyes but also has some really genuine heart to heart moments that are heartwarming and heartbreaking. His range emotionally is fantastic and I love that he’s really let the years take a toll on the character so we can see Ethan really transition through this arc onscreen and Cruise gives great serious moments with his great delivery but also can have great dry humour moments too. He’s really become this character he knows Ethan Inside and out and yet still brings new things to him that we haven’t seen before to blow us away which he dose again magnificently onscreen. Overall Tom delivers the best and most emotional outing as Ethan in this film.

Ving Rhames : Ving Delivers a shockingly brilliant turn as Luther. Ving is the only actor besides Tom to appear in every Mission film and he’s become a lovable and vital character in the series that I always love seeing when he’s onscreen. Ever since the first time he appeared onscreen back in 96 he has astonished us with his great humour and wit that he brings to Luther . In this film he brings a take on Luther that is much more emotional then I thought and I loved it. He’s played Luther very witty and humorous for most of the series but really brings a new layer and depth to him that he hasn’t explored before that just felt right. He had this old rugged worn aspect to his performance that I don’t know why but made me emotional. I think it’s due to the fact I’ve gotten so attached to his character over the years to see him bring Luther as a more fragile and emotional person this time around felt appropriate and right for his character and the way Ving shows it onscreen is brilliant. He plays this character greatly giving great moments of heart to heart scenes and one scene in particular that almost had me in tears his ability to broaden his range with the character I thought was great but also to show a more serious side. Ving has just become this character and when he speaks he crackles the dialogue with such truth he is their 100 percent committed onscreen. He’s utterly heartbreaking and witty but really shows amazing depth here that I didn’t think he would but was pleasantly surprised. Ving not only gave his best outing as Luther here but one of his best and most strong performances I’ve seen.

Christopher McQuarrie : Christopher once again delivers another fantastic Mission film that somehow not only outdoes what he did with the previous film but all of them. He brings this flare and special style to the film that his vision and the films have that just gell perfectly together. He knows how to showcase the great action sequences without it feeling overlong or similar to what we have seen before. But actually bring it to new heights and show the audience things we haven’t seen before. That approach is what I love and what he brings here again. He gives breathtaking action that leaves your jaw dropped but also knows when to let the film breath and let the more quiet moments take place. And on top of that let the film not be to grim and inject some light hearted humour into it that’s not to much but is noticeable enough and all that put together he has crafted one of the greatest action films I’ve ever seen. He is such a fantastic filmmaker he knows how to tell a compelling narrative to keep the audience into the beat and Rhythm of it all while also giving great justice to the Mission fans by giving it a solid follow up and on the other hand for people who haven’t seen it he lets the film Appel to that audience to. He juggles so much at one and all of it lands and it lands perfectly. He made the first ever follow up to a previous mission using a great plot while also expanding the world with new characters but not to much that it gets overcrowded he still keeps the style of mission alive and well and also give it a more darker tone and bring the franchise into new and different territory. He also got great performances from his cast all contributed solid work and an overall well directed film again by Christopher proving that he’s the right man to helm these films.

The Cinematography : The camerawork was breathtaking. The cinematography in the film had this wide broaden scope to it that made the environments it took place in massive and really brought the places to life with its great ability at using the camera. At the same time it also was able to capture the action sequences so greatly without it having to jump cut but really created great tension and showcase the imagery in a truly beautiful way that shouldn’t be overlooked.
