Movie Review : Going In Style

Going in style
This film is one of the best comedy's and probably one of the best chemistry I've seen between a cast all year. The performances given by the legendary heavyweights Alan Arkin, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Christopher Lloyd were all fantastic. This film is hilarious and you can't help but have a great time watching these legends onscreen and just smile from seeing such great Chemistry. As well the film carries so much heart in the film by telling the audience a important and emotional lesson. That friendship is important and to take care of the elderly. I don't understand how this film got mixed reviews it is a great film everyone should check out you'll have a blast watching it. It's just a fun filled time that you'll enjoy.

When three elderly men loose their life savings they seek out to rob the bank that stole their money

Rated PG - 13 : for drug content, lanauge, and some suggestive material

Michael Caine : Caine delivers another fantastic performance once again. Caine is one of my favourite actors and he has given such memorable work over the years and he brings his A game once again in this film. In the film he wants to get his money back from robbing a bank and the way Caine could deliver that emotion onscreen was great. He has some great dramatic scenes in the film where I genuinely believe him the look in his eye and sound in his voice is so real and I love that he always brings that to his performances and he dose it here I loved it. As well what he also brought was humour which I haven't seen from him since dirty rotten scoundrels. He had great comedic wit in the film too he plays that balance well and it was so enjoyable to watch. Michael just brings such a enjoyable dramatic and humorous performance that is entertaining and you can't help but love. Overall Caine delivers another truly fantastic performance once again.

Morgan Freeman : Morgan gives a fantastic performance in this film just truly fantastic. Morgan also one of my favourite actors and he brings the goods in this film with such a emotional and comedically witty performance. Morgan plays a man like Caine who just wants his money back and he knows he isn't going to live forever and just wants to also see his granddaughter. The way that Freeman presented his emotion in this film was at times tear jerking. He is so real in this film when it comes to the more serious moments and he is one hundred percent their giving it his all onscreen. At the same time he also could lighten the scene up with truly hilarious humour. Morgan just walks the line of giving both a great dramatic performance and a humours one also. He just to me stole the film in many ways because he is so captivating to watch and his performance is just truly fantastic. When he's serious he can see in the eyes and the voice that it is genuine and heartbreaking but then can give that grin and make it seem funny he did that incredibly well in this film. Overall Morgan gives once again another truly great performance.

Alan Arkin : Alan gives a hilarious supporting performance in this film. Out of Morgan and Caine Alan is probably the funniest out of the three. He has such great comedic timing in the film he knows when to deliver great humour and it works so well. As well the chemistry he has with Morgan and Caine are truly electric. He also shows moments of seriousness and heart as well and he is able to do that extremely well also. Alan is just such a joy to watch in this film you can't help but enjoy  his fantastic comedic skills and performance. Overall Alan gives a fun and hilarious performance.

Christopher Lloyd : Christopher plays a small small role in this film but is just so dam funny. Lloyd plays Milton the head boss at where Caine, Freeman and Arkin go to and he just had hilarious moments when he was onscreen. His character isn't involved in the Bank Robbery at all so he's the odd one out and the way Lloyd was able to play that was amazing. He just was so fun to see alongside these other great actors. Overall Christopher gives a truly hilarious performance in this film.

Zach Braff : Zach gave great direction in this fantastic comedy. I have not heard of this director before after seeing this I'll defiantly check out his other work. He did a truly great job in this film of balancing the comedy and drama so that both never felt more used then the other that it was a even keel.  As well the amazing cast he brought to this film with the chemistry among the actors were truly amazing. He helmed this film extremely well. Overall great direction from Zach.

The Lighting : It was good! The use of blue and white was very vibrant throughout the film and worked well with the frame and really got it to pop and stand out. Great job guys.

The Cinematography : The camerawork in the film was good. The shot of the bank robbery and the use of overhead shots were used so well. I liked the camera work in the film good job guys.

The Soundtrack : The music used in the film was great it'll get you tapping along. I enjoyed it defiantly worth a listen.
