Movie Review : Ant - Man

Ant - Man
This film was a fun ride from start to finish! I was very surprised with this film because it is a character I am very unfamiliar with and didn't know if the concept of the film would pay off and for sure it did and I'm so glad I was wrong. It had a original origin story and not resorting to recycled and used ideas they really brought something fresh which was fantastic to see. As well as casting Paul Rudd for the main centre of this film was a great casting choice he was amazing this film is just a fun marvel movie all around.

Scott Lang is released from prison and is trying to be a better person and reconnect with his daughter he won't go back to his old life of crime but his friend offers him a career path that will turn his life upside down

Rated PG - 13 : language and intense action sequences

Paul Rudd : simply one of his finest performances in recent years! Paul is well known as playing the funny man in most of his films. What makes his performance in this film separate to his other work is his ability to play a very serious character while doing the balancing act at using some comedic chops while keeping the character dramatic and serious and he made it look effortless. Not only did it prove that Rudd has fantastic acing range it also shows he can do different roles we aren't used to and still deliver a entertaining performance. He plays a broken man at the core of it and just the pure genuine emotion he brings to the character is heartbreaking at times as well as the looks in his eyes he's so genuine and real brining a layer of realism to his performance it's simply fantastic. It's rate to find a scene stealing performance in Marvel films these days not saying their not good but just to find a performance that really just steals every frame and that's what Paul did and he's proven he's a force to be reckoned with.

Peyton Reed : Peyton dose a fantastic job at helming this project! This character is not as well known as the other Marvel characters in the superhero universe. For Reed to be able to give such a loyal origin story staying true to the source material while at the same time showing us something new and refreshing that we haven't seen. He was able to juggle that all and it worked really well he had us emotional laughing and just having a enjoyable time in the theatre. He's the only person who could of exacted this film to pure perfection and he did so great direction.

The Lighting : Great tones of lighting it really knew how to capture the frame perfectly.  The colours and tone knew how to capture the emotion and really fit the picture right and get it to really shine was great. Great job guys.

The Cinematography : Simply brilliant! The camera work on this was amazing since it's about a guy that shrinks and the camera played with that well making you feel like you shrunk to it just was another layer of great camera work and really immerses you in the film it was great. Amazing job guys.

The Score : The music like the lighting was able to work well with the emotional impact of the picture and really be able to express the scene through the score it was fantastic great job guys.
