Movie Review : Brooklyn

Brooklyn
This film is a fantastic picture that will get you emotional and so wrapped up in every aspect of the film.

This film is about a Irish daughter who moves to the United States and goes to Brooklyn to get a job and ends up falling for a Italian boy.

Rated PG - 13 : for a scene of sexuality and brief strong language

Saoirse Ronan : Ronan steps up her acting game and brings to the table a performance that deserves to be recognized. I have seen Ronan's past work in the lovely bones and she was incredible in the film. Showing to me that she is amazing in the dramatic genre and could really push herself to deliver a Oscar winning performance that has the ability to wow the audience with her acting abilities. In this film she knocks it out of the park with her ability to fully become the character and get fully immersed in the scene giving it her all. The emotional aspect she brought to the screen was heartbreaking at times and triumphant as well she taps into all those emotions and brings it to light incredibly well showing not one false note in her performance. The pain and happiness seemed so real and natural it felt she was giving a piece of herself in the role and that's true commitment to see a performer deliver onscreen. I knew she could deliver a powerhouse performance when I watched the lovely bones and she dose it with this extraordinary performance overall Ronan gives a terrific performance that truly touched my heart one of the best performances I've seen in a long time.

John Crowley : Genius directing by such a unknown director he for sure will be recognized for his brilliance on this film. John Crowley I never even heard of until I viewed this film and after seeing it I am so ecstatic about seeing his future work he directed this film incredibly well. He got great performances from his cast then layering that will gorgeous sets and really making you feel part of the film with how authentic and real he made the year that it was set in. Then choosing the perfect locations to film it and it really captivated the audiences attention. He did a brilliant job at directing this film to near perfection overall outstanding direction by John.

The Lighting : the tones used in the frames were spectacular! It really made the picture shine the way they used a mix of colours to result in this creamy bright feel to the film that really drew me in. I loved it great job guys.

The Cinematography : not worth mentioning

The Score : magnificent! The score in this film is loud at times then mellow it's passionate it delivers everything. The score really plays into account of the film helping express the scene and emotion of what they could deliver with words so the music would express it. Truly great score I just loved it it got me invested in the plot line and
Got me to feel what she felt overall fantastic score.
