Movie Review : Bridge Of Spies

Bridge Of Spies
Spilberg has crafted another masterpiece once again! He entertains the auidance with a grippiand intriguing plotline that he shows the brutual times of the cold war truthfully onscreen not glamorizing one ounce of it. While showcasing terrifc performances from his cast this is Spielberg's best picture since saving Private Ryan.

This film tells the story of James Donovan a insurance lawyer who is called upon to defend s Soviet spy.

Rated PG-13: some violence and brief strong language

Tom Hanks: Hanks delivers one of his finest performances in years. Hanks has proven he's a phenomenal actor in his past work in both of his Oscar winning performances in Philadelphia & Forrest Gump. He shines the light with his great dramatic acting in this cold war thriller. When he is onscreen in this film he captivates the audienceThe th his charm and well written and spoken dialouge. he plays a chracter who is made to make tough choices and he stands up for his morals of what is right and Hanks played that onscreen perfrctly. He puts on layer after layer of emotion onscreen and plays it perfectly one minute he  will be giving a smirk the next he is delivering serious dialouge getting in the moment of it all giving his all to deliver a solid dramatic performance Overall Hanks delivers one of the best performances of his career.

Mark Rylance : One of the best supporting performances of the year! Before viewing this film i have never heard of Mark but after seeing him in this film i will for sure check out his other work. He gives a scene stealing performance in this film captivating the audiance with his presence evreything he did in this film was off the charts from the way he spoke to the sheer look on his face he packs evreything in this brilliant Oscar worthy performance really getting underneath the skin of the character and breathing great life into this role. Mark gives a scene stealing perfomance that deserves to be noticed.

Steven Spielberg : Steven is a genuis who is so original and extrodinary thst he will be titled one of the greatest directors of our time. In this film he proves how he is a gem and a genuis showcasing a nailbiting plotline about the cold war while getting outstsnding perfomances from his cast. As well he knows how to make a authentic history films he has proven it is his strong suit in his other films like Saving Privite Ryan, Shindlers List both which he respectfully earnrd the Oscar for his dirction on those films. It is because he is strongly educated in it and he injects that purity of genuis in this film. What i love that Steven dose is he never sugarcoats it if it was violent and brutual he will show that which i love it brings a layer of realism to the picture overall Steven gives one of the best directed films of the year!

The Lighting : nothing worth mentioning

The Cinematography : the camerawork in this film is beautiful! The cinematographer on this film also did Saving privite Ryan and he has outdone himself once again. He shoots these big well done angled scenes that truly captivates and gets you in the moment. Overall great camerawork it is truly beautiful to the eyes.

The Score : Thomas Newman once again creates another beautiful piece of music! The composed music he did for this film is outstanding it is big and loud and emotional at times. It really got you in the moment of thr film overall a beautiful score once again by Newman.
