Movie Review : Spectre

Spectre
This Movie wasn’t as good as it’s predecessor but I will say it was a good follow-up to skyfall. It had all the elements and things we expect from a Bond film Girls, gadgets and hard-core action. But the action shown in this film was good don’t get me wrong but it at times got to the point where it was testing my intelligence that it wouldn’t be possible. So the action lacked believability but it had some good sequences I am not saying all the action but a few of them. But the performances and style of the film is what kept me captivated if you’re a bond fanatic like me you’ll like the film regardless.

Bond goes after a secret origination that will tell the fate of the whole 007 industry
PG -13 intense action sequences, some disturbing images

Daniel Craig : Daniel  once again delivers another great performance as our favourite spy. He brings that classic charm and roughness we have come to love once again. In this film he will nail you with his tough look in his eyes the next he can make a sarcastic joke. And it’s great to see he can shift through emotions in this terrific role and make it look believable and enjoyable. He keeps on getting better and better in each one he dose because since he has played Bond now for the 4th time in a row he can explore deeper into his character and bring him to places we have never experienced with him before. So it is nice theirs is always something new to learn from Bond in each one he does. In this film he is showing his hard ass side but he is starting to show his more emotional side and it is great. He makes him look more human instead of a robot who just kills he shows that he can bleed to. And he peels more and more off bond emotionally and I love how he brings that to the role. In this film he shows his more personal side and that he won’t follow the rules at times because he believes that doing the right thing sometimes means breaking the rules. The way he speaks is so smooth and entertaining he is so convincing in his role that you are convinced he means what he says which proves he is a great actor to play this terrific character.   So again another great performance from Craig.

Christoph Waltz : Waltz gives another terrific performance as the dark villain. Christoph is a phenomenal actor with his brilliant acting chops he has impressed the Academy Awards with his talent winning two supporting Oscars. One being his portal of the main villain of the film that movie was called inglorious basterds. So we know he can play the mean nasty character extremely well and I always thought he would make a great bond villain and he didn’t disappoint. He brought that charm to the character like he has in his previous performances and he didn’t try to copy or duplicate his character after any of the past Bond villains. Which is great the way he spoke and everything was pitch perfect of his performance in this film. When you watch him onscreen the emotional drive he is feeding the audience looks so real and natural there is not one false note in his performance.  Overall a Waltz delivers a scene stealing performance in this action packed film.

Sam Mendes: Sam drives another great Bond movie home! I know I said the action was lacked but there are always flaws in a movie. If Sam wasn’t attached to direct this project the film would have been disappointing because I believe since Skyfall he brought back that old fashioned style of bond we have known to love and haven’t seen in a long time. So he knows how to properly helm the franchise to its full ability and that is what he does once again in this film. He has breathtaking cinematography good action sequences, stunning to the eyes location and great performances from the cast. He just knows how to set the mood right and get the audience invested in the movie. I think he is the best director out of the entire franchise who has done this franchise. Overall Sam brings excellent directing once again.

The Lighting : The tones used in this film was great the same kind they used in skyfall and I loved how they brought it back. They use this creamy tone to the picture during the film then the will shift it to this greyish black tone so it really sets the mood right. Great job guys you have done excellent  lighting  once again loved it.

The Cinematography : Breathtaking all the way until the credits roll! The angles and shots were amazing. They did a amazing job at showing the scope of the film and really compelling you by their ability to use good camerawork. There are so many good shots I can’t even name my favourite one all I will say is the shots were genius great job guys.

The Score : Thomas Newman created a beautifully done score piece! The use of instruments and the melody was so beautiful  to the ears it really captivated  the emotion of the scene so well done. Great Job Newman once again.
