Movie Review : Mission : Impossible Ghost Protocol

Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol
A thrill ride from start to finish! The forth instalment in the Mission franchise is another great film in the great series. The action is ten times better with amazing action sequences and stunts. Along with a great performance by Cruise, beautiful locations and a fantastic score. This film is one of the best films of 2011!

The IMF has been shut down after a disaster occurred at the Kremlin forcing Ethan Hunt and his team to go after the people who is causing all this destruction

Rated PG - 13 :  for sequences of intense action and violence

Tom Cruise : Another entertaining performance by Cruise once again! One of Hollywood's favourite film spy's is back and better then ever. Tom brings a more edginess to his performance he didn't show in any of the past instalments. In the past films he was serious but in this one he really goes full force with it and doesn't hold anything back. He's fully immersed in the character and just gets under the skin of the character and shows serious emotions but at times can be humorous. I love that he can play with different emotion components and keep you interested in the film. What makes his character different then some of the other spy's in other films is he's incredible likeable and relatable he's a character you can relate to conflicts with so you really care about this character and that's what he shows once again in this film. He also tops the last film stunt wise doing death defying stunts that has you on the edge of your seat. Once again another great performance by Cruise.

Brad Bird : Brad brings great direction to this great series! He didn't show the great direction JJ showed in the third instalment but he did do a solid job at directing this big scale picture. He brings a gritty dark at times feeling to the picture which is really refreshing and different for Brads style of direction. Brad has directed films like Up and the Incredables so to see him doing this big action thriller is so different then what were used to seeing him do. The direction he did in this film is so good he got great performances from the cast along with great action and beautiful locations. Brad just made this film have this dark feeling to the picture which was fantastic and then be bright at times which is great. I loved it great direction Brad.

The Lighting : Great tones throughout the film! Like I said Brad made the film had this dark tone to the picture so the strong component of the film would be the lighting. They used tones that made it so dark it was like greyish and then at another scene it would be bright and colourful I loved it they experimented with different styles of lighting. Great job guys.

The Cinematography : Just stunning no other word to describe it. Their is a huge stunt in the film that will make your jaw drop. Tom climbs up the tallest building in the world in Dubai and the way they shot the big intense sequence was incredible. Great job guys I love it.

The Score : unlike any other score they have had in the past instalments. The music just really is a character in the film and can express and explain the scene when theirs no words to explain it. It's so beautiful so well composed I love it.
