Movie Review : Horns

Horns
A surprisingly awesome film! I thought this film was going to be a huge disappointment but I was so wrong this film was brilliant. It had a intriguing storyline with a great performance from Daniel. A film is supposed to get you to escape from your everyday life and see something new and different which this film delivers on all levels.

Ig a young man's girlfriend got murdered and the town accuses him of murdering his girlfriend. Then on top of all that one day horns grow from his temples.

Rated R :  sexual content, some graphic nudity, and some disturbing violence

Daniel Radcliffe : One of his most entertaining performances to date! Daniel has shown us he's able to act in serious toned films before such as Kill Your Darlings so when I heard he was the starring role in this huge blockbuster film I was quiet excited. He fits perfectly in the category of drama, fantasy films because I think that's when he's at his strongest acting wise. In this film he plays a falsely accused person of murdering his girlfriend and the way he plays the character onscreen is undeniably rich and all around great. His ability to show emotion onscreen is extremely powerful. In this film when he's angry or upset you can clearly see by his tone of voice when he delivers the dialogue and just seeing him psychically. Like the way he slammed his wrist on the drivers wheel his hands hurting in pain and him screaming on the top of his lungs to his lungs capacity. You believe that some actors can act emotions in a scene perfectly but fail to connect with the audience which Daniel can do both that's what makes this performance and him in general a fantastic actor. Overall I loved his performance one of the finest performances I have seen of his.

Alexandre Aja : Fresh and and original directing loved it! Before seeing this film I have heard nothing about this particular visionary. What I loved about his take on the film was it was something you haven't seen before. Which resulted in something original and highly entertaining. He got great performances from his cast beautiful locations to film the movie. It all fell into place perfectly making it one of the most original films I've ever seen. What was so intruding to watch was he brought this mystery dark tone to the film which you probably think it's all going to be gore and scary material in the film. Which it's not theirs allot more beneath the surface of the film and it's quit deep it deals with relationships, trust and being the best version of yourself you can be which is a very powerful message. Alexandre deserves a standing ovation for this masterpiece overall pitch perfect direction loved it.

The Lighting : Loving the tone of the film colour wise! Very fresh felt like you wouldn't know what would happen next that anything could happen. Fit the tone and feel of the picture perfectly.

The Cinematography : Great shots not eye popping frames but all around wonderful. They had one scene that was outstanding involving Daniel and his brother in the film. The scene was disturbing and hard to watch but the way it was like that is cause the angles and shots made you and got you in the moment which I loved Great job guys.

The Soundtrack : The music incorporated into this film was insanely good the way they used different bands to grasp the moment of emotion. Without having the dame artist throughout the film they used bands and songs most of us haven't heard before which was refreshing overall defiantly worth downloading on iTunes loved it.
