Movie Review : Silence Of The Lambs

The Silence Of The Lambs
This film made"Psychological Thriller's " ! The excellent acting by Foster&Hopkins was pure genius . The directing by Ted was astonishing all of it fell into place . This film won best picture at the Oscars and for good reason !

It tells the story of FBI agent Clarice Starling who gets the assignment to visit Hannibal Lecter to gets leads on a Murder case for a man their trying to catch called Buffalo Bill.

Rated R : Strong Language, Some disturbing images some Graphic Bloody gore

Anthony Hopkins : easily one of the best performances I have ever come across ! The way he executed this very complex character and became the role and didn't just read him he breathed and lived this role. The way he was able to channel into his dark side and show how sadistic and disturbing this character was it was chilling. The way he walked and spoke with this quiet toned voice all of it was outstanding. The emotional drive was great lecter just wants to get out of the cell like everybody else but he's smarter then the average human being. He did a great job of portraying that onscreen he showed great emotional range. The chemistry between Foster&Hopkins was fantastic. When they were onscreen the connection between them was electrifying. Overall Hopkins gives a performance of the ages.

Jodie Foster : Her compelling performance is pretty much flawless! Jodie once again delivers another great dramatic role. We have seen that she's a to sent actress in past film work such as Taxi Driver and Contact. So their was no surprise she was going to amaze us with he acting abilities. But in this film she didn't just impress us she blew us away. She defiantly raised the bar with her very convincing accent and well written dialogue. The emotional drive she shows in this character was electrifying. It was I want to do this case but then she starts to slowly melt and become more edgy. Which she delivered so well onscreen. You got to see different layers of Jodie's character. Which was simply fantastic cause we also in the process got to see different emotions of Jodie anger, anxiety and more which makes for a more convincing and entertaining performance. The chemistry she has onscreen with Hopkins is outstanding. They just brightened up the screen. Overall this performance is one of the greatest lead actress performances I have ever seen.

Jonathan Demme : Jonathan achieved excellent direction! He got powerhouse performances out of his actors. He told a intriguing suspenseful story which grips you onto the seat until the end of the film. He was able to bring this Hitchcock style to the screen it would have different kind of layers. It's not a predictable storyline he got you guessing to the what the end of the film is going to be like. But then it goes it takes a whole different turn. He would you so wrapped up and invested in these characters that you cant take your eyes off them. He deserved the Oscar for best direction Overall great direction.

The Lighting : Very good lighting choices for this film. Since it's a dark drama film you would expect that kind of lighting. And they deliver it was dark and light at the same time it was the kind of lighting to get a shiver down your spine was simply fantastic. Got you soaked up in every moment great job guys.

The Cinematography :  The shots and angles they used In the film was brilliant. Theirs one scene where they lead a character somewhere plays with your mind and then takes the scene somewhere else. Which is great that they get you to feel like your with Claire the entire journey of the film Great job guys.

The Score : It was electrifying! The score in this film is so eerie and intense it gets you to be in the scene. the music was great at expressing at scene when theirs no words to use. It was another character it built up the suspense and is just a all around beautiful score I loved it.
