Movie Review : American Sniper

American Sniper
This film is one of the greatest films ever made. With a powerhouse performance from Bradley Cooper to excellent direction from Hollywood heavyweight Clint Eastwood. This film is about Chris Kyle  the most lethal Sniper in U.S history.

Chris Kyle originated from Texas he enlists in The war as a Navy SEAL Sniper. For his extraordinary eye with the Sniper he then went down in history as one of the best soldiers to ever serve.

Rated R : Strong disturbing war violence language throughout and some sexual references

Bradley Cooper : Gives one of the best performances of the decade. I have said Cooper is outstanding in dramatic roles and he has shown us in the past with such films as Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and The Place Beyond The Pines. He raised the bar on his acting and emotional range. When he was onscreen their was a electricity that surged through him. We got to see different layers of Coopers emotions we got to see him be serious, sad and happy so it was great to see. When he was onscreen the way he walked looked and talked it didn't sound like Cooper with his voice it sounded like someone else which is fantastic he fully becomes the character and forget that it's Cooper. He ate slept and breathed Chris Kyle. He got nominated for his performance at the Oscars for Best Actor and well deserved it. Overall one of the best performances I have ever seen.

Clint Eastwood : Eastwood once again delivers lighting in a bottle! He has directed some Oscar winning masterpieces over the years with Million Dollar Baby and Unforgiven. So when I heard he was directing this film I was very excited because I knew he would do a fantastic job at directing this film. This is his bet directed film since Million Dollar Baby. He gets you so invested in the stour and it's characters that you get emotional and only really talented directors can do that. Clint deserved a Oscar nomination for best director at the Oscars. Overall another Masterpiece by Eastwood once again.

The Lighting : The lighting techniques for this film was very well chosen. Since it's a war, drama you would expect a modern feel to the picture which it delivers. When theirs a war sequence it would more fast paced and brighter but when he's with his wife it's more brighter then when he's alone and it's more emotional it's darker. So it was great at expressing the emotions of the scene and it's characters. Great job guys.

The Cinematography :  Some worth mentioning shots! When theirs a war sequence and Cooper is with his sniper and has to decide if he shoots or not your in the moment with him the suspense building being their in the moment I liked how it made you feel like you were their experiencing it with him every moment to the end of the film. Great job guys.

The Score : Very well composed. The music was very beautifully done it was outstanding at expressing the scene and it's characters emotions very well done.
