Movie Review : Donnie Brasco
This film is one of the best gangster / crime film since GoodFelleas ! The performances by Pacino&Depp were stellar . The story was original, gripping & on the edge of your seat drama . I highly recommend this film !
Tells the true story of undercover cop Joe D. Pistone goes undercover as "Donnie Brasco". He becomes one of them to gain information from the brutal mob family to bring back to the FBI .

Johnny Depp : Best performance I have seen since Sweeney Todd ! Depp is great in serious roles and should do more of them . Because the deep emotion he puts into the characters especially in this film is amazing . Watching Pacino&Depp onscreen together was great. What made Depp's performance so believable was when you looked at him you can see the pressure his character was under. psychically & mentally .It just felt so real when he was onscreen the acting just felt so realistic & real. Another great performance by Depp . Oscar Worthy !
Al Pacino : Another great performance by Oscar winner AL Pacino! He is one of the best actors in cinematic history . He has worked on so many legendary crime/ gangster films such as The Godfather Series , Scarface etc. The way he portrayed this character in this film was brilliant . He plays real life gangster Lefty Ruggiero . The emotional motive he had in this film was great.He is a gangster but wants to protect Donnie at the same time . He brought this character to life and made it so realistic &real . Great job!
Mike Newell : He brought the old style of gangster films back ! Brining great actors to portray these great roles . The story was great full of Suspense and intrigue . The music and locations were great . When I watched this film I couldn't help but think of GoodFellas & Casino because that's what the film reminded me of . He made the greatest gangster film since Departed , Casino & Goodfellas . Great job Oscar Worthy !
The Lighting : it had this Hollywood glamour look to the picture it wasn't to bright or to dark. I loved it!
The Score: it felt like the score from Dirty Harry. Intense & thrilling . It made the story move along better I loved it !
