Movie Review : The Lone Ranger
The Lone Ranger
This film disappointed me ! I has high hopes when I heard that Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer were going to collaborate again on this project. But they lacked story and character that's why the film received such poor reviews and numbers at the box office . Tonto's has fallen of his horse in this film.
Rated PG - 13 : for sequences of intense action and violence, and some suggestive material
Johnny Depp : I would first like to say I have been a fan of Johnny Depp since I was 4 years old and Am a huge fan of his films. He has done some really well acted performances in the past . But this film defiantly didn't shine through as one of them. He tried to hard to imitate the original Tonto . He didn't put any emotion into the character or energy Into the performance . Which made it harder to enjoy his performance . He hade some good parts but for the most of it it was bad. Johnny I think your a stellar actor but you can do better then this .
Armie Hammer : I enjoyed his performance in The Social Network but when it came to the Lone Ranger not that much. He tried way to hard to make the audience like him and laugh which came across badly on his part .
Gore Verbinski : I have seen majority of his film the Pirates Franchise , Rango , and now the Lone Ranger. I had high hopes because he worked with Johnny in the past on films that were really good so I was like "this film is going to be brilliant it's Johnny Depp and Gore what's not to love ? . Apparently I was wrong and it turned out to be one of the biggest flops of 2013 . I hope he can redeem himself in future projects because I really enjoy his work .
The Lighting : it was your average western film lighting bright nothing special. Good job guys !
The Score : Hans Zimmerman made a excellent score it was adventures and bright it just felt great I loved the score !
At the 86th Academy Awards The Lone Ranger received the following nominations
Nominated - Best Makeup
Nominated - Best Visual Effects
