Fences is a triumph! This marvellous stage play adapted to screen is told incredibly well through the fantastic direction of Denzel Washington. As well as his outstanding performance in this film along with Viola Davis electric performance. Fences is a emotional, moving, well acted and directed film that everyone should see.

This film tells the story of Troy A father who comes to conflicts with his son and his wife while he wants to get a fence up around his house and everything in between

Denzel Washington: Denzel delivers one of the finest performances of his career with his terrific work in this film. Denzel starred in the Broadway production of fences with viola and he won a tony for his work in the show. So when I heard he was going to bring it to the big screen I was so thrilled to see it because of such high praise he got for his performance of fences on stage I couldn't wait to see him bring the same performance to film. Wow what an amazing performance he brings to to this film he's absolutely electric onscreen When he delivers his lines it feels like it's coming from the heart and he truly means what he says he seems so genuine and real as this character. Not only dose he deliver his dialogue and make me believe him as the character but he also dose a fantastic job at showcasing his emotional impact in the film to. When he is toe to toe with his son speaking to him the tone of voice the look in his eye he's one hundred percent their. Delivering his all bearing his emotions onscreen and wow it's amazing to watch. Denzel is outstanding in this film once again he delivers another scene stealing performance Denzel is a powerhouse in this film.

Viola Davis : Viola delivers the best work she's ever done onscreen and what I think is the best performance of her career. Viola has shown us again and again that she can do drama extremely well if it's her role in Doubt or the help she knows how to captivate the audience with her terrific acting. But what Viola dose in this film is amazing she performs on another medium that I have never seen before. The raw emotion she shows onscreen is heartbreaking, moving and captivating to watch. When she is onscreen delivering her lines she's so real you feel that what she's meaning what she says she is so committed onscreen their is no false not in her performance. She was so electric in this film she made me cry which I do often but that's how moving and outstanding her performance in this film was she was able to move me to tears. As well as the fantastic chemistry she has with Denzel in the film I bought them as a couple and the connection is so their and pure. Overall Viola delivers not only what I consider to be the best performance of her career but one of the best performances I've seen ever.

Denzel Washington: Denzel shows incredible talent as a director behind the lens of this film. Denzel has directed a few films before but I haven't seen his other directed work. After seeing his fantastic direction on this film I will definitely check out his other directed films. Reason why because his work as a director in this film was outstanding. He was able to get the audience emotionally captured by the performances in this film as well as the story. He also has the right music to fit the tone and lighting it all fell into place perfectly. Denzel showed me he is a master behind the camera with this film.  I hope he directs more in the future because he has serious talent as a director fantastic direction by Denzel in this film.

The Lighting : the tone and colour shown in the film plays a huge character for the story. The way they expressed tones of light brown and a gold feel to the picture fit the scene well and made the frame pop out. The lighting also expressed darker tones for the emotional scenes it fit so well loved the lighting great job guys.

The Cinematography : The camera work in this film is well done. The way the camera moved through the scenes and the house it captured the emotion and tone of the film well by how the camera could get the right angles to capture the scene perfectly. When they are in the backyard talking it feels like one long shot without multiple angles and I liked that feel to it very well done camera work on this film.

The Score : loved the music composed for this film! The way the music was able to create the melody for the film www fantastic. It could be very quiet and slow then go high and I liked how the melody matched the emotion of the film. It was a beautifully done score that expressed the scene perfectly loved the score in this film.
