Movie Review : Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
This film is extraordinary! This film will dazzle you with incredible visual effects Big scale set pieces and just the pure magic and wonder of the world of magic. This is a terrific film it is is set before Harry Potter came to hogwarts its 70 years before where we learn about one of the people Harry studies in class Newt Scamander. What's so great about the film is it is something we haven't seen before it expands upon the world of Potter by showing us something new and it's spectacular in every way this is one of the best films of the year!

It takes place 70 years before Harry Learns about Newt Scamander in class it's about when Newt goes to New York to collect and protect magical beast along with the dangers that come along his way

Rated PG - 13 : for some fantasy action violence

Eddie Redmayne : Eddie is terrific in this film. He was the right choice to play Newt in the spinoff of the potter universe. Redmayne just brought this charm and likability to the character that made him so fun to watch onscreen. He really embodied Newt and you can see he cares for these creatures and seeing him so invested in the character made me believe him more onscreen and care for his character. He has his funny charming moments in this film but also his serious moments and he was able to transition those incredibly well being so real onscreen. Eddie was the perfect choice for Newt couldn't anyone else playing him he's fantastic in this film.

Dan Fogler : This actor I had never heard of before seeing this film and after watching him in this I'll defiantly see his other work. Dan plays in basic terms the sidekick or the comic relief character in this film. He plays the character who is thrown into the world of magic by accident and he dose a great job in this film. I'll tell you why many comic relief characters are only their to be funny so they use that and just push and push the comedy whenever their onscreen do the audience can take a break from the serious tones but by doing that you learn no other trait about the character which is what Dan did so differently which is what I admire. He would say his comedic bits at the perfect times and it never got tiring he just had great timing for when he would deliver it but then he would also turn to being serious when he needed to I just liked how his performance and how he got us to learn so much about his character in the film. He also had great onscreen chemistry with Eddie when I saw the two of them onscreen they so much fun onscreen together that they made a great duo that feels real and not acted the friendship is their and I loved it. Dan was just simply fantastic in this film and his performance shouldn't go unnoticed.

Colin Farrell : Colin adds another great addition to the potter universe with his performance as Percival Graves. He isn't onscreen as much as the other actors but when he is he's electric onscreen with his fantastic line delivery and character depth. In the film we get this character we know nothing about but he slowly starts to peel those layers and we see what he really is he is a man with multiple layers that is incredibly fascinating. The way Colin was able to do that was great he's always great in his films so it came to no surprise that he delivered another great performance. When he's talking to Ezra Miller in this film the tone in voice I genuinely believe he wants to help him and just the soft comforting tone in his voice felt genuine but he also could go really serious and dark fast and make it so genuine onscreen. Colin is terrific in this film loved his performance.

David Yates : David knocks it out of the park again with this Potter spinoff! David knows how to deliver a great Potter film he has directed the Potter films from the fifth one to the final one so he has experience in the Potter universe. And we as the audience know he can deliver a Fantastic Potter film because he did a wonderful job with the Potter films so when I heard he was helming a Potter spinoff film I knew the film was in good hands. He did this film justice as I thought he would bringing the wonder of magic onscreen along with great characters and visual effects. David made us fall in love with magic once again with this wonderful film. I heard David is helming the second instalment in the fantastic beast saga I hope he gets to direct all five of the sequels set to come out because he is the best for the job for directing anything in the Potter universe overall Yates dose another fantastic job.

The Lighting : The use of colours in this film was splendid. Their use of orange and gold made the frame really feel rich and pop out very similar like the colours used in Potter. Like what Potter did in the happy moments it would be very bright and in the darker moments go really grey and I like how they do that overall the tones in the film was great loved it.

The Cinematography : The camerawork in the film was brilliant! Their are many scenes that I loved what the Did onscreen. Their is a shot where Newt grabs someone and  Disapparate's the way they shot it with showing his wand and then vanishing was so cool I loved that. The camerawork was great on the film great job guys.

The Score : The music in this film is beautiful! From the opening title card of the movie the music brings such beauty to the ears and gives the audience the chills of being back in the Potter universe. It felt so immersive and loved every aspect of the film Score in this film was well composed loved it.
